I have never, and will never own a car. I got my motorcycle license 12 years ago and I will continue to ride every day; rain, wind or snow.
Every morning, my satnav tells me:

And then I filter through all the traffic and make it to work in 15-20 mins. I spend less than half as much as everybody else on insurance, tax, commute time, tyre replacements, services, and petrol for a significantly superior mode of travel. When it rains, I shower and change when I get to work. Big deal.
Every morning I am tasked with an enjoyable and cerebral task that increases my testosterone and endorphine levels and makes me feel like I've accomplished something before the day even starts. The exercise in discipline to efficiently maintain the motorcycle on a weekly basis, the mechanistic challenge of truly understanding every aspect of the bike, the primal feeling of riding the line between life and death every day and still making it to your destination 100% of the time - this makes a man.

Hard disagree. I have money but have never spent more than 20k on a car. In my experience, purchasing expensive cars in order to show off is more of a nonwhite trait. I work with a lot of MDs. The white surgeons are drive old reliable cars they've had for ages, nothing fancy. The jeets, armenians, arabs, indians, etc are the ones who get off to driving overpriced mememobiles

Agreed. I work in IT and all the fresh off the boat jeets that I know make less than me all own BMW and Lexus. They drive them home to their shoebox apartments they share with 5 guys. I'm pretty sure the point is to flex on social media to everyone back home so they can score when they visit. High IQ White people can buy nice cars too but its only after they've ACTUALLY made it (8+ figures)

If you are parking an AMG GTS in your mom's house / apartment, people just think you are an idiot.
