Everyone is raving about how we’re pumping before the halving, which apparently hasn’t happened. What does this mean?

No it's not. Especially for RLC. Don't buy RLC whatever you do

It hasn't broke ath before halving before. Which it still won't.. inflation adjusted the ath is almost 80k in today's dollars

pumping before the halving happened every time newfag
what hasn't happened is new ATHs right before the halving, what's happening now is new, we're in unchartered territory so cycle based arguments are irrelevant

does that mean its going up or down

It means that the market has a greater awareness of BTC patterns and the self-fulfilling prophecies are only going to be more significant. The price will rise a shit ton, past $180k (maybe on the second try after an initial dump down to $100k or whatever), and I doubt it will fall 60% again

>which apparently hasn’t happened
But it did?
Every halving was priced in. And it has to be because miners need to prepare for a drop so they stop selling in advance.

means we are going to 666k

This time the most common entry point won't be signing up to Coinbase and buying shitcoins because you're priced out of a whole Bitcoin.

The most common entry will be buying the Bitcoin ETFs. Maybe after that they'll think about self custody and sign up for a crypto exchange account, or maybe not.

What will this mean for alts? No alt season?

>> No.57783235

The older generations will go for the ETFs
The younger generations will go for the alts

1million dollar bitcoin within 10 years

>> No.57783276

Even if that happens it will mean a muted alt season.

Also the ETFs remove the unit bias of Bitcoin because they have their own much lower share prices.

>> No.57783278

>>57782305
they're probably investing in other coins while waiting for the perfect opportunity, there's a lot of interesting/shitty coins
In my case i invested about 300$ on a random schizo anime coin called spx6900 for the lolz

So alt season will be dissapointing then?
Old generation has more money compared to young generation

The ETF inflows legitimately make this time different

>> No.57783401

>>57783333
You will have more people than ever buying BTC so it will still be a very good alt season. The entire market cap of crypto rising, headed by BTC, is good for all boats

>> No.57783431

Correct. GBTC just vomited $600m in a single day yet net ETF inflows were still positive. ETFs shallowed over a month of PRE-HALVING block rewards in the last 4 days.
