That means all bridging (that isn't done by third world teams running hardware wallets around) will come through CCIP with the fees that come with it. Making CCIP the canonical bridge is the ultimate aim for each blockchain.

It also helps with integrations more generally. There was some pushback from the Aave DAO about the full CCIP integration that Aave is currently undertaking. The core team told them to fuck off though of course and this will be the ultimate outcome. All chains will bend the knee and Chainlink will be the standard whether they like it or not. Just like all DeFi apps have bent the knee despite their resistance.

There is literally only two paths:
Adopt Chainlink and signal to everyone that you're trying to be a "serious" project.
Adopt Pyth and signal to everyone that you're a cynical grifter going for the quick retail scam money.
The latter group is going to get completely squeezed out in the next few years.

Doubt it'll even take that long. The ever increasing number of hacks and money losses can only go on so long before everyone says "fuck this" and bends the knee

You are underestimating the amount of people in the industry who are perfectly content to be a not serious project and basically just be a token selling project then "fail" and walk away. Pyth enables that entire darker side of the industry.

I should honestly write a book but I'd rather just never think about this shit again once I'm out for good.

This has really deterred me from trying to get into the industry. I find it exhausting just being a schmuck retail buyer, can't imagine how annoying it must be working in the space.

At the risk of sounding like a pajeet, both Chainlink Labs and Avalabs seem pretty legit. Emin is a bit unprofessional online but he's got soul and overall the business is good.

Wouldn't enabling scams be bullish for Pyth for at least the duration of this cycle? I own both Link and Pyth but mostly because it's the Link of Solana.

Yeah I know CLL is probably the most professional team in the industry. Kinda feel weird about them though, as a bagholder enough of my life has been consumed by Chainlink. Don't think I would want to actually work there though.
