"Low 6 figure" salary means $80k takehome, at least a third of which is eaten by rent, and then a 10% cost for food. That leaves you with $45k for everything else. Saving ~$1k per month (1/4 of monthly income after expenses), it would take them 3 years to get to that level.
Keep in mind that having a woman intimately involved in your life raises expenses by 2x minimum.

It is the most difficult most stressful job that exists and is generally underpaid as fuck. The worst part is having to wrangle a bunch of midcurve devs who think they’re hot shit for some odd reason but can’t begin to understand even the basics of building something useful.
