Bruh I have actually some of their recent stuff like Wish and Willow.

Willow had to be one of the worst tv shows I have ever fuckin seen and that's crazy since I thought the original movie was enjoyable in a campy b movie fantasy way.

Then there's Wish...did they have some fucking C team work on this shit? It did NOT feel like a movie that used a $200 million budget, let alone a movie that celebrates their 100th anniversary at all. Like its got that early PS4 cutscene vibe and it was mid as hell. A margin requirement means that when you take a bet on the market on derivatives for example you take a position of lets say 1 million with 10% margin. So a 10k collatoral for a $100,000 position
That collatoral is a deposit, the rest is loaned and charged interest. To protect its own interest the broker would margin call you if your position turns against you, because you might be losing money but the broker doesn't want to lose his borrowed money. So he'll margin call you if your position loses and asks to deposit more collatoral to keep it open. Or else liquidate you to save his $90,000 he borrowed you.

Waiving margin requirements basically means the broker will eat the loss along with you on HIS money he borrowed to you and it's as good as free money

Thanks bros. I am gonna try to read up on it. This whole thing is really confusing. Where is the FED getting the money from? And what guarantee does the FED have that the money comes back to them? If the bank fails, that is kinda bullish since the big boys can swoop in to buy it for cheap, right?
The FED has been giving out so much free money, how the hell can banks even fail under such conditions? I know they have a lot of unrealized losses but come on. Have they really become so accustomed to decade of ZIRP so as not to manage 5% rates?

So these little shits get free money and essentially cheat the system and then they wonder why normal people aren't happy to pay their taxes. This is some nice corruption. Actually, why are they even waiving the requirements? Shouldn't that be illegal?
Alright, so this and reverse repo crap that I gotta read up on.

Btw, just finished Xenophon's Anabasis. Good content but a little dry. Anyone got some more good reading?

I firmly believe the bots are trading the indices and if there is no special reason trade the individual stocks en masse around.

For example, 2 hours ago Zalando was +2% and DAX pumped high. Now DAX pumped up again but Zalando is +0,4%
Other companies that were red are less red, other companies that were less red are now more red. In the end the DAX moves as the global markets at the same time, sometimes stronger or less but it does those predictable moves (like when the hour turns) but the performance of the individual constituents has changed from early pump to the later pump. Bullshit is being traded around like crazy but the index goes how it is intended, like the CAC/OMX etc (global market retardation)

Essentially like this:

You would obviously take care of your own retirement first. I think kids would be better off in the long run if parents concentrated on their children’s retirement and not college. College is mostly a rip off these days anyway. Even if you could only fund half or a third it’s still a good start.

nah that anon is right, "greedflation" is bullshit because it implies when corporations are greedy, inflation happens
corps are ALWAYS greedy, that's the point - it doesn't scale with inflation

do all corporations simultaneously conspire to get greedy at once and decide to just cause more inflation?
do they think deflation happens because all corps just become generous one day?
of course not
broad market, long-term inflation happens ONLY because of fed ZIRP/money printer actions and the loaning + gov spending it enables
and it's shit because it distorts markets and price expectations, preventing people from making informed financial decisions

There's a special kind of power in those NVIDIA processors,
And they're blooming like the roses in the spring.
But I'm far away from them, chasing market aggressors,
In the realm of SOXL, where the bulls take wing.

(Chorus)
Oh, the verdant rose of NVIDIA, it beckons me afar,
In the circuits and the silicon, where tech dreams are born.
But I'm trading in the markets, where fortunes rise and fall,
In the land of SOXL, where I'll stake my dawn.

(Verse 2)
Those processors hum a tune of innovation and might,
In the heart of every machine they dwell.
But I'm riding with the bulls, chasing profits in the light,
In the world of SOXL, where we cast our spell.

(Chorus)
Oh, the verdant rose of NVIDIA, it calls me in the night,
With promises of breakthroughs, in the realm of chips.
But I'm dancing with the indices, where the numbers take flight,
In the land of SOXL, where I'll earn my flips.

(Bridge)
Though the rose may bloom in Texas, and its beauty may astound,
In the world of semiconductors, it's NVIDIA that shines.
But I'll ride with SOXL, where the markets do abound,
In the land of opportunities, where we draw the lines.

(Chorus)
Oh, the verdant rose of NVIDIA, it's a symbol of our quest,
For innovation and progress, in the tech domain.
But I'll trade with SOXL, where we put our hopes to test,
In the realm of semiconductors, where fortunes reign.

correct, but the difference is that corp inflation can't last though - it only applies in the short run and would only affect the industries involved
if corps raise prices too much, demand reacts accordingly
same thing with "supply shocks" - if it was just supply shocks, prices would return back to their pre-shock values once it's over

but they never do
because the underlying cause is gov increased the money supply, so all prices eventually rebalance to reflect that

the fed "solved" short-term volatility by creating long-term sustained inflation
their own CPI admits to 4% since 1970, despite targeting 2%. reality is even worse

>>57772372
fair point. the insane pace of technological innovation has made it hard for law/society/culture to catch up
I would still posit an inflationary environment drives people towards that behavior though
when savers get fucked, people are pushed towards speculation and rent-seeking
if you aren't leverage-maxxing, you lose out - but that's hard to do because it's stressful as hell, turns everyone schizo
