any currency "backed" by something is inherently doomed, you're trusting the government to cash your IOU on demand which if the last 100 years has taught us anything, they will sooner fuck you over and/or burn your children alive to stop from happening

Bitcoin is literally the gold standard of the digital age; ideally physical gold and silver should be used as currency too, but Bitcoin is the only thing that the (((bankers))) can't manipulate behind an IOU
