Homecopers need not apply.

You should only buy a home when you're rich or old.

How about everyone's situation is different and they're in different stages of their lives. Renting and buying can be a bad move given the circumstances.

Who am I kidding trying to a midwit though.

It's based if your market pumps and you were able to get a low interest loan, basically getting a bit of the cantillion effect. I know that for some people their home's annual price appreciation was higher than their annual income. Chink investors left their apartments empty instead because they knew the rental income would be lower than the depreciation that having them tenanted would cause.
For most it is a wagecuck trap though. But then again most can't afford to live in the city in the first place.

I like the idea behind owning a home for one reason, and that is when I have it paid off I owe nothing in rent, except property taxes that ever increase to feed ungrateful niggers, and if I don't pay the government will come and seize my fully paid off house, send me to prison with jamal, the ungrateful nigger my taxes went to, and sell the house underneath me to some jew at auction and I have no recourse.

Jack Reacher lifestyle is looking more appealing every day.

homeownership can be very cult-like. If you challenge the idea that buying a home is the best financial decision you can make, they will get irrationally angry. Owning a home is a lifestyle decision, and you pay a premium for it.

renting is for cucks. why dont you spend year settling down just for the person who owns the place to kick your ass out, now you hve to start all over again. how about you lived there for 20 fucking years, your landlord dies, leaves the properties to his kids and then they decide its too much work and sell it all. you are now homeless.

renting is only ok if you dont have plans to settle down.

>> No.57707308

>>57706391
Yeah this is why I'm not sure I want to buy a house. In most countries you don't need to pay taxes if you spend fewer than 183 days there. You can move around between countries and legally not pay taxes. If you want to be connected to a community, you can just split your time between two countries, spending 182 days or less in each (and spend a few days on vacation in some other country). You can just rent somewhere, no need to pay property tax or be in the "system" in any way. Additionally, not being tied down via property, you can easily bounce if shit hits the fan (as in COVID).

Doesn't work if you're American though as you'll still need to pay taxes (legally speaking, that is).

In one year you could but you pay a penalty fee. In 2 years it is penalty free and you definitely can. You are probably one of the dumbest people on this board. What would stop you from selling it? That makes no sense at all.

>> No.57707395

>>57706176
buying a home only makes sense if its cheaper to own the home vs rent, the amt of money its worth in the end should not matter cuz the money you save from renting is gonna make you way more money in the longterm, so unless you can buy a cheap place its not worth it and only women care about it

>> No.57707605

>>57706176
I want a home so I know it it's mine to mostly do whatever the fuck I want with. Rentoids can't even paint the walls or hang a family picture on the wall despite paying upwards of $4k. If you're in an apartment or condo, you have to take all of your belongings, furniture, groceries, and kids (if you have them) possibly up several flights of stairs. Then you're next to noisy people who fight, blast music, or stomping from kids chasing each other in the rooms above you. The only appeal they had was being relatively cheap for someone just starting out in life or wanting to experience a big city. With the rising cost of going out, streets being filled with Somali tier niggers and heroin addicts, it doesn't make sense in most cases. I will aspire to a large, quiet place I can work from, give my kids a homeschooling classroom, a playroom, and a nice yard to homestead from.

It's worth what the next sucker is willing to pay for an old house that has 4channer smell in it. The truth is you can barely cash out and have your buy price of 2018 locked up in an unproductive "asset" and can never cash out, because it also happens to be your place of residence.
IF one is stupid enough to buy a house, you should at least rent it out and live somewhere cheap.
