- Vendors may charge extra for using a credit card. That might balance (ebay!) if your card offers cash back.

Getting out the nicks and dents from circulation will be impossible, rough techniquesnare guaranteed to leave microscratches visible to the naked eye.
Paper towel+meguiars 105 cutting compound gives it a nice polish. Tried it on a copper 2 pence and a CuNi 10 pence. The 10 pence is so reflective it looks like any color it reflects. The penny shined up real nice too. If you happen to catch any scratches youve added from abrasives, rotate the coin 45 degrees to create perpendicular scratches using a finer grit; splits up the lines and increases the reflectivity. Think a bike reflector when it comes to scratches and scratch abatement.

I have read the Great Taking and believe there is a non-zero chance some of these paper claims can implode. However, given the nature of the entire global monetary system imploding, I believe that I can stand to make so much money on my PMs that I can easily surive 80-100% losses on my broker portfolio. I invest in some of that shit including mining stocks, meme stocks etc in the hopes that there could be profit potential. I made a spreadsheet which can show the potential scenarios I can forecast. Such as gains/losses in stocks, PMs and cash etc. It's pretty basic math and it may even be skewed when I do not break down my stocks as being also exposed to PM prices. But any multiple of PMs moving higher can easily make up for the comfort of collecting dividends in the preset. I think stocks MAY act as vacuums and help soak up some dollars if inflation is real. So it is nice to have value outside of PMs that I don't want to sell.

You and anyone else can mail and sell 100+ oz loads of silver scrap for 92% of spot price to www.prospectorsgoldandgems.com and they pay after it's melted, weighed and assayed but it'll be via check not cash. There are other refineries that may pay more but you might need to be a relevant business or undergo KYC or a background check to work with them. Weighted stuff and knife handles etc. will need to be broken down, and they of course don't mess with plated junk so double check everything. Lots of old sterling is collectible and worth more than scrap so research anything promising before having it all melted.

Sounds like you know what you're doing! If you have any pics I'd be interested to see any favorite pieces you've lucked upon. If you have any fancy antique Asian import silver or smalls like thimbles, tea infuser balls, tiny salt spoons, "vesta" match cases, pill boxes, vinaigrettes etc. set them aside for further research or sale as group lots as they tend to fetch a good premium, but I'm sure most of what you have is indeed just scrap. Double check any old American coin silver too, pieces from certain towns/states or silversmiths are worth many times spot.

Over the last month or so I’ve been able to find very low premium bullion at coin shows, I got a 10g pamp bar for $655 (in assay, spot was at $2030), and a few days ago picked up a 1/4 ozt krug and a 1/4 ozt brittania for $510 each (at $2015 spot).

Dealer had the coins priced at $540, I asked him if the price on the krugs were “current” and he said he could do $510. Lots of these smaller dealers need capital, people in this economy aren’t buying as much PM’s and as long as you’re respectful/not aggressive when you haggle you’ll find some great deals really close to spot price.

And yeah, everything was above board and legit. Coin shows are like gun shows 15 years ago, deals abound.
