I'm a tech lover at heart but thank god I went into healthcare. I make the same or better money but my job is recession-proof.

lmao can't wait till AI gets 75% of the IT sector fired because their whole skill is type some shit on the keyboard, which btw the AI will be able to do it faster, cheaper and better

>> No.57647273

AI is going to replace every single one of these guys who work literal nothing jobs

>haha lmao lol I literally do nothing all day, ohhh ok maybe I did like 2 hours of work every week, haha lol… don’t be jealous, should have just gone to university bro :~D”

These people are so fucked

The only remaining white collar work will be for the ultra elite of the elite, no more masses of white collar easy mode do nothing jobs

You’re going to see a future workforce that is 99.999% blue collar and the 0.0001% will be reserved for children of the established elite class,

Codemonkey who unironically does nothing all day working from home here.
I just had my annual performance review, exceeds expectations. I'll be getting a market adjustment in a few months and likely a promotion later in the year.

It's good to be White.

Cope from poorfags. I make $200k+ in my WFH tech job, even if I get laid off I have my pick of the litter of any multiple remote jobs in the world because I have 10+ years experience. If I wanted I could even grind and try to join Meta for a $500k+ total comp but I'd rather keep my chill comfy job. AI will never get me laid off because I work on integrating AI into our products right now, LMAO

No good career as a whole has survived the last several decades due to some factor like degree dilution, exploitation by corporations, etc. I don't think tech will be an exception.

Law: used to be one of the most respected, highest paying careers. Now absolutely decimated and you have to carve out a solid career from attending a top university and good connections. High chance of getting moderate or low income.
Medicine: still high paying but doctor lifestyle has declined dramatically from stress and insurance reimbursement. Will likely deal with increasing encroachment of midlevel providers/nurses. Most doctors are not even self-employed anymore so that should tell you all you need to know.
Engineering: used to be highly respected and gatekept by its technical nature, similar to what programming is like now. Obviously that's changed a lot. Not unusual for engineers to leave their career entirely after a few years or by mid-career.
Dentistry: still somewhat sheltered from corporations but I hear that that is slowly changing. Market is quite saturated in major cities and desirable areas (especially for general dentists). Business failure is actually a realistic possibility even for dental speciailists.

No job is recession proof, I hate this meme so fucking much.
>Old coworker contacts me about joining a defense corp because "recession proof"
>Ask him to match salary, says he can only do half compared to fake Internet money job, but it's "recession proof"
>Tell him I'll just wait for the fake money to dry up and then I'll contact him again
>1 year later
>He contacts me for getting fake Internet money job because his "recession proof" job died from political infighting
It doesn't matter what you do. You are always one C-level power trip away from losing it. Anyone taking less pay for a "recession proof" job is a retard.
