Most traders beat the market, easily. Less than 10% beat the market + fees, however. Coming up with a strategy that beats the raw market is trivial, most MA crossovers would rack you infinite money in no time if you could have traded for free. Now, developing any strategy that beats the market on top of the fees, well that's another thing.
