Confirmation bias can be the cause of your conviction and conviction can be the cause of your confirmation bias but they are not the same. I hope this little tidbit of information serves you well.

idk but what i think is a funny example of survivor bias is treating women special for going into STEM fields but the only women who go into STEM fields in the first place are the privileged ones who come from supportive backgrounds so it defeats the whole point

Confirmation bias is confidence stemming from your own personal biases and and conviction is confidence within a specific scenario irrespective of bias. That being said, confirmation bias and bias in general as a concept are both communist propaganda meant to distabilize white western civilization and in reality there is only conviction.
