The incentive is to give out tokens that get dumped to bagholders. Im not against the idea, its a try but nobody ever pays for fair ai, used it for free at best. It is overvalued AND for now i dont see the product, its a weaker ai and the subnets are permissionable as far as i know.

If you want to create a subnet or validate it requires a certain amount of TAO. 100 TAO to create a subnet. You have to hold more than the top 64 validators of each subnet you want to validate on.

Why would you want to create a subnet? To incentivize building the best decentralized models for whatever problem you’re trying to solve (doesn’t even have to be AI related).

Why would you want to become a validator? If you become a top validator, you get a shit ton of TAO everyday.

Of course none of this matters if price doesn’t go up first. But it has. And it’s already attracting top AI/ML researchers (Nous Research, Hugging Face).

Sure, miners and validators could dump the TAO that gets mined every day. But why would they do that when they could just hold and stake the number one AI coin and watch price go up? Same as bitcoin miners.
