thoughts when buying land to build a homestead? I recently bought some RECREATIONAL LAND and realized im not allowed to build anything more than a cabin unless its approved by the county first. how do i find a proper space to begin a post-industrialist hoarding operation with a family >8 people?

Do this OP I expect to see a police stand off against you while you set up a shit load of Vietnam style traps by the end of this year. Don't let me down

No, you'll just have to pay a fine. Had a buddy build a cabin and the county just billed them one time for establishing a "residence". This was in MN too, it's too much work for them to kick you out. That being said fuck off, we are full.

Maine has incorporated land that's basically boreal forest, plenty of room there.

That’s the right way to deal with the government entering in your business. OP it’s your private property it’s your god given right to defend it

Just drop a camo shipping container behind some trees. Live in that and yes, surround your property with punji stick traps.

I used to laugh when people said we are all slaves with invisible chains. How could that be true if I could just get in my car and drive anywhere.
But now I see. If I were to just go in the wilderness and build a self sustaining farm with a small house and raise a family there, I would be hunted down. Not paying taxes and being a part of society is a crime. The government won’t allow me to live independent of it. If I buy a property I must pay property tax, and even if I own it completely I’m still technically paying rent to the government. if I fail to pay I will have my land taken from me by force. We are slaves.

Indeed. Will we do anything about it? 12 years not a slave.
