Me and my dad had a very complicated relationship. He provided for me heavily financially, but socially was absent and somewhat detrimental. A lot of negative talk that to this day I'm still trying to get rid. I have to work extra hard not to blame him since you probably got it from his father. I take it as a challenge to beat my bad mental patterns I learned. Anyways, we never had a "friend" relationship so we don't talk about deeper topics. I'm grateful for him though. My life could have gone a lot worse had he not been there to keep me in line.
