I've been up like 20% a year for 4 years lazily buying US index funds. The only thing I regret is my portfolio was not heavy enough on US tech. Still gains to be made there though.

Silver since it is more heavily suppressed (400:1) than gold (200:1). Paying taxes and high premium on it sucks, but it is super cheap regardless. Also more affordable to buy regularly in bigger batches.
