Anyone here know math? I'm trying to use a spreadsheet to track my overall % cgar through multiple years. It's been fairly simple but I'm struggling to figure out how to factor in my cost basis which constantly increases. I.e if I have 10,000 basis a 10% return by januart looks like 11,000 right? I've read about the value factor, I think I may be too stupid to fully understand it. Frankly my main rationale for allocating towards it is the performance of growth triggering in my brain a piece of advice i took to heart well over a decade ago which has saved me time and time again: "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." And that's what the green line on growth looks like to me. Of course I still have a lot of growrth exposure, it's too hot to ignore, but it's not a majority of my portfolio. Rate cuts which could be this year also seem bearish for growth and bullish for value. May as well get those discounts now while the bottom is in for value stocks, right?

I do something similar with QQQ calls. I've found good luck with 6-12 month out calls 90-95% itm. I don't buy when IV is high though, for QQQ I only buy if it's below ~25. These will probably cost like $5k a contract so you could buy one about every other week.
