The whole system is still operating in that America is still able to sell bonds to pay for imports. So long as those trade agreements are in place the banks can do their part to paper over the problem.
The problem is the banks are not printing Zimbabwe style. They create inflation with a simultaneous debt which also extinguishes money. The banks are corporations are also very good about keeping that money away from you.
Rising housing, inflation, low wages. The average pleb recycled 99% of their money into the ponzi or consumes services/renewable commodities. Housing, cars, student loans are all paying profits to the ponzi. You invest your paychecks into 401k and insurance which you will never get your returns. They want you to spend money on entertainment, alcohol, hobbies, and food. Almost no one is spending their money on finite value-dense commodities. Most people can't afford to it and the supply isn't really available either.

If I had been smarter last October that could've been my tack now.
On another note, will there be any practical difference between 22K and 3/4/5 9s fine gold in the future?
I figure not since we have capsules so 22K's durability won't matter like in the past, and as for how many 9s fine, only someone looking to avoid non-gold elements to melt it down would care, right?
I mean in terms of a future where it becomes much more expensive. If someone's planning for that.

Not a gold collector, but what do I do with a large amount of gold? Where do I store it? I inherited a large amount of gold jewelery and watches. I weighed and calculated by karat and it's over 75k in gold alone, not even considering the precious stones, brands, etc. For example, a brooch that has a big piece of carved Jade and 5 CTS of diamonds was valued at over 60k alone.

Right now I have most of it stashed in a hidden hole in the floor in a part of my home. I am considering a safety deposit box, though. That's where my Grandmother had it for around 40 years.

My main concerns are home invasion when I'm not home or a house fire. I see a lot of paranoid people saying not to use safety deposit boxes because the banks/government can take your things one day... But a home invasion or fire seems more common or likely than that.

If you do go with a safe deposit box you should keep some kind of evidence that the items belong to you and were legally acquired. Keep a copy with the items and a copy somewhere else. That will go a long way towards making it difficult for the government to take stuff. Honestly you should do that regardless of where you store the items. There is nothing special about a safety deposit box that makes it easier to seize.

Exactly that line. Yes, the gov't can seize assets, but the ONE raid the FBI did in Nevada is being shot down, and with their dicks slapped, they will think the better of trying that again. Also, it wasn't a bank - it was a private storage company. But very good advice here:

Jews built up China. China Bucks the Jews.
We are here.
Our only hope is that china survives.
They are totally isolationist so they likely wont come here, but they will shake up things economically.
I think the Jews are trying to speed run a version of the U.S. that looks like china but is diverse. If they fail, they are going to have to switch strategies. It might include giving up white genocide for a small period of time until they feel they can take china out.
On another front, they are trying to set up North Africa as new consumer cattle which is close enough yo U.S. that shipping will be easy. They are going to want to cause a lot of issues in LatAm. It all ends with North and South America as a unified block, with North Africa as a new base. Pushing into the middle east as far as they can. Securing as much of Eastern Europe as they are able, and them sitting on their hands. Also trying to endear themselves to India to choke china out.

Toning comes from sulfur in the air. If coins in a tube tone, there's either a leak, or air permeates through the plastic(?!), or there was sulfur in the air at the time the tube was sealed or cracked open.
There exists anti-tarnishing paper that you can slip into a tube (or capsule, if there's room) that is impregnated with a compound that soaks in the sulfur far more readily than the silver. It's most often sold as something to throw in the silverware box ( think knives, forks, spoons...) to keep it nice an shiny. Those boxes leak a lot and are often opened, so it's recommended that the paper be swapped out every so often. But sealed in a tube, the stuff should last a long time.
There's also anti-tarnish felt.
Pic related - I often cute a thin strip to rim coins/rounds that have loose fits in capsules.

It's actually pretty sad to see the grey haired boomers who have been all over the silver play since 2008. I was fortunate enough to start stacking when I was 21 and am well positioned with plenty of years left to enjoy the swing in purchasing power.
The nice part about precious metals is the maximum security it can afford you. If you do some stress testing of your portfolio, if you truly believe that we are fated for a 10x+ in silver and an 80-90% collapse in equities you can still come out just fine. So you can freely invest in some comfy- stocks for dividends or whatever the fuck you want while we all sit back and wait for the dumpster fire to start.

detectors mostly stick to places likely to have valuable stuff. The middle of a random field isn't a likely spot to detect.
Even then we don't usually dig targets over a couple feet deep because that's something big, and most of the time we're looking for small stuff.

depends on the time period examined. Over the last ~50 years it has outpaced inflation by about 7x. But you can certainly pick different sets of years where it did way worse if you're into cherry picking.

I worked in Yakutia rivers on the far east of Russia for several decades, our task was to collect gold to be sold from the people’s enterprise of Yakutia gold to the Soviet central bank in exchange of Soviet Roubles. The country was virgin, had no roads, few people mostly native would live in the interminable forests and landscape of big rivers and hills. I was in charge of a team of 200 gold diggers and responsible for the collected gold. Russia was and still is a dangerous country.

At the end of the season, I would have on 10, 20 millions dollar equivalent of gold in my safes. My enterprise had two things to protect it: a safe in a truck with a bad, and me and my substitute with a Kalashnikov rifle never leaving that truck.

Sometimes I still look back at those years with nostalgia. Gold digging in Yakutia is not that profitable anymore

Oh, I see. You're talking about the screenshot that was deleted a couple minutes ago.

nah, the anon complaining about gold posted a pic of the bars he claims to have, sitting in a safe. ~$135k in gold, but not timestamped.

i wouldn't do that, those never sell when you need to

Won't take long to get most of the ones I'm interested in.
There's probably many mint sets that are just beyond my budget that I won't go after.
I think for a few thousand dollars I can get most of what I think I want and can reasonably afford.
I know there's things like those early mint sets and those double mint sets that are around $1000 each or more. I probably won't be getting any of those soon .

Also I figured there would be the last thing I would ever think of selling. I'd sell some of the raw bullion stack first.

Any miners fans?
GreenX Metals looks interesting, of course it's an exotic location but deposit seems to be interesting plus that arbitration. Any opinions?

I'd be interested in copper, zinc, nickel, uranium. Well anything that has to do with energy and batteries

Their ARC project is copper with native chunks that are like 98 percent purity right on surface plus historic data shows nice grades of silver.

https://greenxmetals.com/arc-project/

That company has many guys responsible for Sovereign Metals mining company that had a nice run and get investment from Rio Tinto.

Most anticipated part about them is now result of arbitration against Polish govt in which they are demanding a pretty fat heap of cash for getting screwed by Polish government at cocking coal deposits in Poland. That would be serious boost for valuation if they get what they are demanding. https://www.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/GREENX-METALS-LIMITED-10354348/news/IN-BRIEF-GreenX-Metals-arbitration-hearings-against-Poland-completed-42430030/

Just keep in mind the 5DMs are shitty 625 silver. The 10DMs after 98 are 925 and have slightly higher premiums. Some have great designs and I like the fractionally.

Petro dollar has been undermined for like a year. They can print all the paper silver they want. Idgaf. Will be converting ones and zeros to metals until the jig is up.
