This is a very wise answer but I think a bit more must be added. If you are like me and believe that Blockchain technology is truly revolutionary (for now just generally speaking about BTC and ETH, although there are probably a few others), the I think a bit more planning is in order.

My take is something like this: you mention selling when you hit 'make it' money. Okay, certainly not the worst thing you can do, but selling something actually means buying something. Sell BTC, and buy... What?

I would say maybe a portfolio that is something like: 70% VT (global stock index fund), 10% global bond fund (I like VUSB), 10% money market funds (I like USD and SGD currency funds), and 10% physical gold. Real estate might also be good to have, but it ties up a lot of capital and it's immovable.

So that's fine, except that, as stated earlier, I believe that Blockchain is revolutionary. In revolutions one system dies and a new one rises. So we are selling our revolutionary assets for 'old world' assets. To me this represents a serious problem. And makes me very uncomfortable.

I won't tell anyone what to do, but I am not comfortable selling all of my crypto assets. For me, I will sell probably 50% of my crypto and use the other 50% to buy a portfolio like the one described above.

Its still incredibly high risk. Diversify as you see fit. Look for uncorrelated assets to protect against market turn downs which seems difficult but it can be done. Ray Dalio mentions this strategy. There was even a recent Tucker Carlson interview with Tony Robbins of all people who has some general insight and direction on the topic you might find useful as a starting place for some independent research of your own.
