Is making money the only thing that's still interesting when you hit 30+?

>> No.57480823

>>57480637

If you're lucky. The only things that are interesting are things that matter in some way. So long as you convince yourself that making money matters it will keep being interesting.

I'm 34 and I'm not interested in making money at all. I'm not rich, not poor but I can enjoy myself at my leisure and I enjoy doing so much more than trying to scam the next guy or work myself to death.

>> No.57480855

>>57480839
what are you interested besides money then? I feel like with money you can level up your life. I grew up poor and working was the work thing for everyone and it ruined so many relationships because of money problems

well making money allows you to do other things, like having nice vacations and weekends, and buying nice things, however once you are older you will figure out pretty soon that all that doesn't matter if you spend most of your time working for money, it's best to live a simple life, doing things that are fulfilling for you, for me that's gardening, i just love it so much, and yet still have my 9 to 5 to pay the bills

>> No.57480869

>>57480855
travel, spending time with friends, gaming
I can easily afford these things which is nice, but yeah the amount of money I'm going to make doing this or that is almost never a thought that crosses my mind, and is certainly not an "interest"

>> No.57480886

it's a score throughout your entire life provided your success isn't due to inherited wealth.
every step of the way dangles a carrot: from your first million, to being comfortably retired, to 9 figures, and for some the tantalizing third comma.

yeah, I love those things as well. I just kind of hate working.

Money is the easiest form of sense of accomplishment and the idea of success. You need a hobby, not something where you consume, not games, cardboard or cars but something where you're actively working on becoming skilled with. Then a short mindless hobby, somethings you can kill time with where you aren't optimizing or obssessed with getting better or competing

I did this through making companies, I fucking hated my job I hated a schedule I hated having to be accountable to literal retards.
So I went on my own and made enough. I know what I like, I live somewhere where doing those things is easy and a no brainer. That special thing for you might be entirely different

Remember anon, most men were self employed and the idea was you worked, made cash, then made your own empire. If you just focus on cashflow instead of a myriad of all the things that are attached like relationships, personal growth emotional development you will feel empty once all that's left is a number on your account.

This is where family comes in, the idea normies have of just going their own way instead of focusing on growth and honor of their family is what has led to the death of the white middle class. You should know you're grooming them to be the heirs to what you have wrought focus on them and in turn they will help you.

I recommend Reading, head to /lit/ and find something, not audiobooks just books, go the library or kindle.

do you think learning to play instruments counts for this or would a sport like tennis/golf be better? I think you're very correct anon. Getting close to 30s and feeling pretty empty, even with a 6 figure bank account.

I do read a lot though. Read most of the /lit/ top 100 books already

my gigabased grandpa is 82 and loves plants. when we go for a walk he can tell me what every plant we see is. he has many fruit trees that he sometimes merges. he has one crazy 3 in one tree (pears, apples, something else). he and granny do the garden everyday, and im convinced it's keeping them alive. seems pretty good to me, very relaxing. plants will never turn on you

Your grandad is extremely based, the ability to graft fruit tree branches is a rare skill. You find it a bit more commonly with citrus, but apples and anything else is fucking unusual. It’s one of the healthiest habits to have, fresh air and sunshine and moderate activity that keeps your joints and muscles working. People who research areas with weird longevity come back to gardening as a factor for some reason.

You understood that pic wrong. The guy isn’t interested in women anymore because he is older, but because he has trauma. I’m 30 years old, and the only thing that gives me that youthful high i used to get all the time 10 years ago, is sex with hot women. Even money is just a means for me to get hot women to have sex with me. So nah it’s about the only thing that is relevant anymore at this age.

T. A virgin. Older women are objectively better at sex and have more curvy erotic bodies. IRL young women are sticks, they don’t have big tits, asses or thights. Pic related is a body that a 33 old mother has, not a body of a 18 yo.
