Except the Transak / Chainlink connection was four years ago:

Good point, and i'd never really looked at these before, but the ones you mentioned seem to all be good for buying crypto but compromised in some way on the spend side. The Transak thing sounds like you can just swap crypto for fiat on the platform and credit your visa card with the corresponding fiat. That's new, as far as i can see. No fucking about with exchanges and particularly banks, whom we all know are making things tougher and tougher for us all on the cashout side. If this works it'll change the game a bit.

I've used them and there's no limits as far as I ever encountered, you just have poor rates.

Frankly i don't see the point in them - anyone starting out in crypto will use an exchange long before using browser wallets and by the time you're using browser wallets you'll know to use exchanges for lower fees than these direct ramps. They have basically no purpose.

If i recall i think i only ever used them when an exchange was temporarily down.

I agree that 2030s will be our decade. It’s a long road until then, but then again how many chads do you meet who bought and held Microsoft since the 80s. Right?

However, don’t be too negative about things. Expecting news and breadcrumbs for crazy short term rallies is typical in crypto but not a healthy sign for long term growth. LINK arguably has had one of the steadiest and healthiest charts other than Bitcoin.

bad comparison...Microsoft, similar to Amazon, had actual products and revenues. Also neither hired massive workforce pre-revenue which is always a startup killer. You should do more research before embarrassing yourself.

For example, by its third year Microsoft was already taking off and had sales rev > $1m (so like $9M today). They had 13 employees at the time. Fast forward to their 7th year, they had $25M in revenues (~$200M today), and 200 employees.

Bill Gates went to Harvard back when that meant something (obviously not now given all the forced diversity) and would often go on 24 hour+ work sessions learning everything about computers. He then dropped out to tirelessly pursue creating one of the greatest companies of all time.

Sergey Nazarov on the other hand got a philosophy degree from NYU, where he spent his days sitting around eating, playing video games and reading useless quotes. After graduating he wormed his way from investment banking into the easiest money grab in modern times (scam altcoins). His crypto experience prior to Link was helping rugpull NXT and failing to create another version of Ethereum.

And on and on it goes. Two completely different roads
