How many days have we been stuck at 82 days? Four, five days? Total nothing burger.

I'm a crypto newbie, so please be kind
But I don't get it, why are people hyped about the bitcoin halving?
Everyone knows it's coming and when, so isn't it already long since priced in?

Because the supply reduction is so massive that its impossible to frontrun. Its a reduction of 450 Bitcoin a day, how many people are buying 450 Bitcoin a day, every day, for 4 years?

It's a cleansing that happens every 4 years.

The inefficient and outright scams go up in a blaze of glory and the good businesses continue on.
It's like a cutting cycle after a bulk, Bitcoin keeps getting stronger, leaner, and more efficient.

miners continuously sell a lot of their bitcoin in order to stay in operation. They get half as much bitcoin to sell after a halving so a lot of them go out of the business and the ones that remain will sell at a higher price to stay profitable. The last few halvings made a big difference because the supply reduction impacts the sell pressure and the circulating supply inflation, but eventually the halvings won't influence price as much.

halvings reliably kick off bull runs so yes most people do care. its traditional to have a crypto bull run every ~3-4 years, we're do. time to make money.
