Only a couple of large companies over-hired. Right now, it's a culling of the useless eaters that have existed for a long time because they have a new boogeyman called ""AI"" (not really AI) that can supposedly replace these workers. But the people that are still employed are being worked to the bone.
There will be massive openings again in a few months because everyone will realize that this ""AI"" crap isn't really taking any developer jobs.
