Similar thing happened to me, but I got laid off from a tech company soon after starting instead of not getting the job altogether. Apply for the post office, they're almost always hiring everywhere. The job's easy as fuck, I'm just walking around a quiet neighborhood putting pieces of paper in mailboxes all day. You have the potential to earn well over $100k per year with overtime once you get a few years in, or you could just do it until you find something in your field.

It can take a couple months before you get your first check though. But yeah this wouldn’t be a bad move anon, I make decent money (~$70k) and it’s nice being part of the union. You don’t have to work overtime if you don’t want to either. It’s an ok gig while you try to level up to higher pay imo, very easy on the body and mind.
