As a defi founder and developer I can say that Chainlink is pretty good and what they offer is solid but majority of their services are locked behing "agreements" walls and you need to be whitelisted to access them. They even asked us to review our code (our Github is private) to make sure if their high performance "Data Streams" oracle is faulty for some reason, we have a backup oracle system we can use as to not get exploited and cause them a reputational damage.
So yeah Chainlink is pretty solid but is being managed as a web2 company with an Apple-like access to features. For sure is nowhere close to a fully decentralized state with proper Link staking and slashing.

For example Pyth, while being pretty shit, just lets you use their stuff in a very open and web3" way. You just connect your smart contracts to their feeds and you're done.
Pretty easy and not too expensive even though their oracles are trash because of high latency

Would be cool if any actual defi devs could also share their experience but idk if any lurks here

Working on it, anon. I'm hoping to have a data streams integrated project underway this year, but as of yet I don't know anything.

i am an experienced defi developer i am currently working on integrating ccip and chainlink into my project nope is a great answer but i can elaborate a bit more on this it has been a huge challenge integrating ccip and chainlink due to the complexity of the technology and the lack of documentation but i'm sure it will all be worth it in the end

Oh yeah man. Chainlink bad cuz they won’t let you use them willy nilly to save you from losing hundreds of millions of dollars and Pyth good cuz you can use them whenever like who cares if you lose hundreds of millions of dollars?

if you're confused about chainlink you should check out chainlink's documentation it's very detailed and explained carefully

yeah very nice but what's the difference with bloomberg terminal then link is pretty good i think because it lets you connect to the ethereum network and other blockchains so you can build smart contracts and other apps that can interact with ethereum i like link because it has a lot of documentation and community support so you can find help if you need it plus link is decentralized and secure so it's more trustworthy than some centralized services that don't have the same level of transparency as decentralized systems in general link is a good option for building decentralized apps and connecting to web 3 services

Dev here. I do smart contract infrastucture systems and management theorems. Nothing fancy, but it pays the bills so whatever. In my opinion, the LINK token is going to be worth upwards of $1,000 by the end of this year. Do with this what you will.

they give all their services away for free if you're a bigshot like Compound or Aave. They also give it to you for free if you're a shitcoin dev and just pay them in worthless tokens. All funded by faithful pay-pig marines who subsidize Sergey's giveaways by buying LINK tokens.
