Every side hustle I ever tried (online at least, I'll be moving to hands on trades next) has failed spectacularly, as I actually lost net money and wasted a shitload of time. I doubt he was “simply bad.” It is VERY difficult to make money as an online seller anymore. Back in the glory days any retard with an Internet connection and a pinch of extra time could be an ebay powerseller. In fact people would quit their fulltime jobs to go fulltime ebay. Those days are LONG gone. A few major factors killing online sales that didn’t used to be problems are:
>Chinese whole sale businesses skipping the middle man and choosing to sell their own products, spamming listings directly, on any given site, greatly reducing visibility for everybody else and driving prices down
>ABSURD shipping rates that only go up while big businesses like Amazon get cut sweetheart deals and can offer customers free shipping
>Google’s stranglehold on searches prioritizing big spending advertisers, leaving your little storefront unseen
>multiple unpaid hours a day sunk into self-promotion on multiple social media platforms in a desperate cry for attention
>the time spent taking multiple detailed and professional-looking photos of one item, writing elaborate and stupidly thorough item descriptions
>if you’re a picker not only is everybody else now, but estate sales price according to ebay; and now places like Goodwill list choice finds in online auctions rather than in their stores for you to snatch up
>fiverr has India undercutting you in most services
>etsy is filled with retarded women selling their items below cost because they want to brag they made some sales
I’m leaving out a lot, but most online side hustles are dead. Not unless you have some tits to flash while holding an xbox controller or something.
