I have a really easy remote job that has great benefits but pays very little and is pretty much pointless so I really disliked it. I started making plans to leave and finally got excited about my plans even though it meant I would lose all the perks of work from home because I could get a more meaningful job that paid a lot more. Then I found out today that HR audited my department and are revising salaries for my job title to be more competitive. I’ll be earning $100k with little to no effort within 5 years now with a ceiling of $300k if I take on more responsibility. Now I don’t know what to do.
