Always manage to post just as thread reaches its limit.

>Why should I stack silver?
1) You think it's a fun shiny metal and enjoy the coins
2) You are poor and cannot afford to stack gold

Silver will NEVER hit the moon though and it is ALWAYS better to stack gold over silver. People are stacking it here because they believe that shit will hit the fan, but don't realise that if the world does collapse then we'll have a long period of chaos, followed by a longer period of small communities that trade resources and skills before civilization returns and you start using gold/silver to trade. This won't happen until at least 50+ years after a complete collapse of the financial system.
inb4 shill, pic related are my eBay 0.925 scrap coins. All bought at spot or £1.50 above.

I stack because before the 19th century silver was known as money all over the world. U.S. coinage has only been lacking silver for 60 years.

I have this crazy idea in my head of a metal 3d printer that comes with its own foundry. Basically, you put metal into it and then melts it down and 3d prints stuff. Nerds around the world will realize "I CAN 3D PRINT AN ANIME WAIFU STATUE OUT OF PURE SILVER FOR JUST A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS? THAT'S A STEAL!" and then they'll proceed to buy up all the silver and jack up the price of silver. I'd love to see something like that happen to boost the value of my silver.

>Vs preparing for the economy of tomorrow
The global economy is firmly in the hands of our big nose friends, there's no changing that as people are too distracted and apathetic. The future will be a social credit score, everything online, no cash, everything tracked and people not saving as their income matches their expenses (by design). The only way that system ends if due to a global collapse, there won't be any partial economic collapses unless its economically irrelevant countries like Somalia or the Congo.
Either the system continues to get worse, in which case there's no escaping it unless you're living in the middle of nowhere and are completely self sufficient
OR
Complete collapse of the global economy which will lead to >>57336567

Holy fucking shit anon you talk as if this has never happened. Here are some pointers:

1. Market price controls don't work because other markets pop up to bypass the manipulated ones.
2. When the state implements capital controls the sellers will find a way to smuggle their capital out.
3. If the state outlaws holding gold and silver they will just use loopholes the state uses like turning coins into jewellery and trade that way.

You seem to be under the illusion that the state is the creator and facilitator of markets. It isn't, it's the parasite of markets, it can't exist without markets, it has to use its monopoly on violence to extort wealth from markets like a fucking mafia.

Silver is a cheap commodity that'll never be used as money again. Almost a billion oz are mined every year while only 328,500 bitcoins were mined in 2023. In 2024, only 205,312 bitcoins will be mined. Eventually 0 bitcoin will be mined as the global cap of 21 million is reached. One year of silver production 38x higher than all the bitcoin there will ever be. Gold is similarly pointless financially speaking.

So if the central bankers saw the ship sinking and they jumped onto the lift rafts to save themselves from the cold water below, what would you do? jump into the cold water and try to swim back because you want to do the opposite of what the banks are doing? Even if the lift rafts are the obvious safety measure instead of swimming in the cold water? you just sound retarded when you confidently believe in that. If metals as money is dead. Then silver is the best physical hold over gold. Western countries aren’t even stacking gold, they are stacking silver. Through their people and their banks. Don’t fall into the gold trap.
The renewed interest in silver is making sure that western countries have the vast amount of silver on the planet. Despite being the global minority, North Americans hold the majority of silver. If global trade were to ever upend or the currency were to fail there is no better hold than silver.
Don’t let golds recent price action fool you about the inherent value of silver. Western countries will benefit overall from the suppressed price. I’m not going to footnote this by saying you should hold both. You shouldn’t. You should hold entirely silver, the fundamentals are pure, any argument against silver vs gold is an obfuscation of global politics. You will see how the goldbugs always defer to authority and past performance rather than the fundamentals.
>Can’t we just all get along?
No, silver is the buy. who profits from buying something that is already priced highly?
No one. Gold is a scam. I wish i came to this conclusion sooner.

A lot of people here might claim to be contrarian but follow the MSM even still. and so ive seen it happen with gold. Gold is mainstream and you have all the outlets that lie to you before but you accept it, It’s an underlying pathology to want to be mainstreamed. You see it with elon and his X “free speech”, there are so many facts that go against this but people will persist in their delusion because they want the belonging of the majority. It’s not contrarian. It’s just good sense, and the “cognitive dissonance” observed is discounted because of their belief alignment. It's more likely to be fairly broad market conditions that send silver flying, and those won't be particularly isolated to precious metals, short of something like COMEX defaulting which even if pmg's wettest dreams would still need outside factors to drive a short squeeze or similar.
As far as what's on the horizon, there's plenty in the world happening at any time that could be advantageous but price action will still be mild until they actually hit a boiling point. Just look at stuff like the US bond market or geopolitical shit like in the red sea, gold and silver are already performing okay right now from factors like these but until they get to the point of the usd being devalued drastically or global shipping looking like it's going down the bowl, PMs probably won't see outright moonshots, just steady gains as investors grow more risk averse.

Kansas Bill Would Treat Gold and Silver as Legal Tender
By: Mike Maharrey|Published on: Jan 10, 2024|Categories: Federal Reserve, State Bills|

>TOPEKA, Kan. (Jan. 10, 2024) – A bill filed in the Kansas Senate would make gold and silver legal tender in the state and would effectively repeal the state capital gains tax on the same. Passage into law would eliminate barriers to using gold and silver in everyday transactions, a foundational step for the people to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.

>The Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee introduced Senate Bill 303 (SB303) last year and it will carry over to the 2024 session. Under the proposed law, “specie coins” issued by the U.S. government or any other specie that a court of competent jurisdiction designates would be legal tender in the state of Kansas and recognized as a medium of exchange for the payment of debts and taxes.

>“Specie” is defined as a “coin having gold or silver content; or refined gold or silver bullion that is coined, stamped or imprinted with its weight and purity and valued primarily based on its metal content and not its form.”

>By allowing the court to designate additional specie to be used as legal tender, Kansas could free its citizens from potential supply constraints imposed by the use of only United States-minted gold and silver coin. More importantly, the people of the state of Kansas would be able to define what specie is considered constitutional tender, further distancing themselves from potential control of their competing currency by Washington D.C.

>> No.57339948

>>57339939
>Passage into law would make Kansas the fifth state to recognize gold and silver as legal tender. Utah led the way, reestablishing constitutional money in 2011. Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Arkansas have since joined. Practically speaking, this would allow Kansans to use gold or silver coins as money rather than just as mere investment vehicles. In effect, it would put gold and silver on the same practical footing as Federal Reserve notes.

>The effect has been most dramatic in Utah where the legal tender law opened the door for the development of a gold and silver market in the state. With some legal hurdles cleared away by the state, the United Precious Metal Association (UPMA) in partnership with Alpine Gold Exchange set up the state’s first “gold bank.” The Utah Specie Legal Tender Act has also led to the creation of Goldbacks, a local, voluntary medium of exchange. Goldbacks are notes made from fractions of an ounce of physical gold. The company created a process that turns pure gold into a spendable physical form for small transactions.

>TAXES ON GOLD AND SILVER

>SB303 would repeal all property and capital gains taxes on gold and silver.

>“No specie or legal tender shall be characterized as personal property for taxation or regulatory purposes.”

>The passage of this bill would build on a foundation set in 2019 when Kansas repealed the sales tax on gold and silver.

>SB303 would also specifically eliminate the state capital gains tax on the sale of gold and silver. The Kansas tax code uses federal law to determine gross income. This includes gains on the sale of precious metals. SB303 would allow Kansans to deduct this amount from their gross income for state tax purposes.

>> No.57339959

>>57339948
>Repealing sales taxes on precious metal bullion takes a step toward treating gold and silver as money instead of commodities. Taxes on precious metal bullion erect barriers to using gold and silver as money by raising transaction costs. As Sound Money Defense League policy director Jp Cortez testified during a committee hearing on a similar bill in Wyoming in 2018, charging taxes on money itself is beyond the pale.

>“In effect, states that collect taxes on purchases of precious metals are inherently saying gold and silver are not money at all.”

>Imagine if you asked a grocery clerk to break a $5 bill and he charged you a 35-cent tax. Silly, right? After all, you were only exchanging one form of money for another. But that’s essentially what Kansas’s sales tax on gold and silver bullion does. By eliminating this tax on the exchange of gold and silver, Kansas would treat specie as money instead of a commodity. This represents a small step toward reestablishing gold and silver as legal tender and breaking down the Fed’s monopoly on money.

>“We ought not to tax money – and that’s a good idea. It makes no sense to tax money,” former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul said during testimony in support an Arizona bill that repealed capital gains taxes on gold and silver in that state. “Paper is not money, it’s fraud,” he continued.

>BACKGROUND

>The United States Constitution states in Article I, Section 10, “No State shall…make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.” Currently, all debts and taxes in Indiana are either paid with Federal Reserve Notes (dollars) which were authorized as legal tender by Congress, or with coins issued by the U.S. Treasury — very few of which have gold or silver in them.

>> No.57339967

>>57339959
>The Federal Reserve destroys this constitutional monetary system by creating a monopoly based on its fiat currency. Without the backing of gold or silver, the central bank can easily create money out of thin air. This not only devalues your purchasing power over time; it also allows the federal government to borrow and spend far beyond what would be possible in a sound money system. Without the Fed, the U.S. government wouldn’t be able to maintain all of its unconstitutional wars and programs. The Federal Reserve is the engine that drives the most powerful government in the history of the world.

>Repealing taxes on gold and silver also takes the first step in the process of abolishing the Federal Reserve system by attacking it from the bottom up – pulling the rug out from under it by working to make its functions irrelevant at the state and local levels, and setting the stage to undermine the Federal Reserve monopoly by introducing competition into the monetary system.

>In a paper presented at the Mises Institute, Constitutional tender expert Professor William Greene said when people in multiple states actually start using gold and silver instead of Federal Reserve Notes, it would effectively nullify the Federal Reserve and end the federal government’s monopoly on money.

>“Over time, as residents of the state use both Federal Reserve notes and silver and gold coins, the fact that the coins hold their value more than Federal Reserve notes do will lead to a “reverse Gresham’s Law” effect, where good money (gold and silver coins) will drive out bad money (Federal Reserve notes). As this happens, a cascade of events can begin to occur, including the flow of real wealth toward the state’s treasury, an influx of banking business from outside of the state – as people in other states carry out their desire to bank with sound money – and an eventual outcry against the use of Federal Reserve notes for any transactions.”

Watching "Jeopardy" I learned something.

In September 2023, the United States recognized two nations in free association with New Zealand: Niue and the Cook Islands. It recognized them as “sovereign and independent” states and established diplomatic relations as part of an effort to counter China’s expanding influence, emphasizing the United States’ commitment to the Pacific amidst increasing geopolitical interest from China.

The Cook Islands is an archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean, consisting of 15 islands. This political arrangement allows these nations to be self-governing and independent while New Zealand handles most of their diplomatic relations and defense. However, both Niue and the Cook Islands maintain a degree of international diplomatic presence independent of New Zealand, including participation in various international organizations. The recognition by the United States signifies acknowledgment of their sovereignty and status in international relations.

I don't think you should be accusing other people of making dumb comments when you're point hinges on memecoin being the primary world currency. Ignoring for the moment that FIAT will remain as the primary currency as long as the Jews continue to control our financial systems. Doesn't it currently take 10 minutes to an hour for a transaction to be completed? Sure, you can argue that'll come down as technology improves, but this alone means bitcoin will remain a meme.

How is bitcoin currently any different to the USD? 2% of addresses own 94.13% of the current coins, so we'd be trading the USD in for an even more unequal system where every single transaction is logged and traceable. "Sorry Jimbo, going to have to fire you because the address we pay your salary into was linked to another address that is involved with an illegal activity."

>BTC is literally just software
I believe his point is, that bitcoin has a lot more susceptibly to attacks than FIAT or PMs. No power? No money. In the middle of nowhere with no phone service? You're fucked. Solar flare takes down the grid? You're fucked. Violent riots so the government has shut down the internet and phone service? You're fucked.

That's a fair price, the commemorative (mintage 25K) is the most valuable piece unless I'm missing something. I don't know if the Thaler is a special variety but assuming it's a common one I think the total value of the lot is ~600-650, so after fees you could still pocket some profit if sold on ebay. That's the rule-of-thumb measuring stick I like to use; if you can sell and still come out ahead after subtracting fees/costs then ya done gud. You got a really cool eclectic medley, in spite of the risk to your wallet I hope they spark further interest in such sovlfvl coins.

Yeah man, aside from perhaps the common 1892-93 Columbian Exposition halves most US coin collectors have very little knowledge or experience with the old commemorative halves, so besides arguably being the best value they're one of the best kept secrets in US coins too. I hope it stays that way until my dad and I complete the collection, considering how little awareness there is compared with overhyped stuff like Morgan dollars I can't really think of anything else with as much asymmetrical investment potential. I'm not exactly betting on that happening as they could stay under the radar forever, but many are already past that "100 year old" mental benchmark so if they ever get even a trickle of mainstream respect and appreciation for their historical and aesthetic value they'd probably perform really well due to the tiny supply.

Did you know that most of the internet infrastructure is actually comically outdated and that there is literally no way for most of it to be updated in anything resembling a timely manner?
Did you know that cyber-security analysts understand and warn pretty much everyone who will listen that cyberattacks grow more advanced each day, and P2P networks like Bitcoin are not immune to such attacks?
Did you know that while the P2P network is fairly robust, to err is human, and the hardware is not eternal? Did you know that over $100 Billion in bitcoin has been lost or rendered unrecoverable already, and that as the network ages this will continue to occur?
Did you know that Bitcoin, much like the fiat its supporters claim to be against, produces nothing and has no actual use-case?
Did you know that its only value is as a speculative asset?
And finally: did you know that Christ is King?
