Another "how do I get a job" thread for the brokies.
Question for the tech and IT bros, if I've got a fair foundation in data analytics and data science, but I want to certmax for credibility and to cover for my lack of real-world experience, what are good certs to work on?
I've been thinking of the Microsoft Azure DBA cert and some of the AWS and GCP equivalents, in addition to building a project portfolio.

any advice for a struggling fren?

Resorting to a life of crime is a better option. Rob armored cars, rob jews and non-Whites, rob synagogues. Then put it all into crypto.

I'm already black, so this might actually be the only option for me.

>certs

All I got was a Bachelors in IT. Got a job as a T2 at a software company. I mainly do deployments and they have me doing server provisioning and cloud deployment/infrastructure in Azure/AWS.

Certs are a waste of time up front. Go get a job, do something, and then get the cert once you have some experience.

How are you not getting a job if you’re black? Sounds like you need to get creative on those blank spots in your resume

that's the problem man.
I've been trying to get a job for months.

I thought this DEI shit was supposed to help.
I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel to shoehorn data science related stuff from my previous jobs, but it's not enough.

Build data/visualization projects in Kaggle or put it on your own domain name and say you were working on that in the past.

That's gotta be the most frustrating thing. To be aware of the life-changing gains that can be made in crypto but too broke or unemployed to do anything about it. That sucks lmao

the FOMO is killing me. I should have listened to my brother when he wanted to start mining crypto in 2013. His ADHD means he always has these harebrained ideas and never follows through on them, I should have supported him on that one.

>>57313017
cool. I've been working on a couple of projects, so I need to really put more effort into updating my GitHub and building my portfolio website.
do you think thedatanAIgga.com is too on the nose for a page name?

Ya that’s a little funky. Domain names are case insensitive and nobody types capital letters, so don’t rely on them.

it was a joke. I'll probably choose something boring like myname+datasolutions.com or something brain dead like that. thanks for all the advice though. You're a pretty cool guy, Anon.

if i had to hire a guy for some kind of data role it would be for analytics.
>software
so i'd want them to be experienced with different analytics packages and not just something like google analytics, but different backend ones as well.
>databases
they should also have some basic skills with databases, especially postgres or mysql so they can analyze the databases too, since there's alot of other kinds of data that gets stowed in the databases.
>programming
python might be the best option here, but R and even JS would work. i know d3.js is popular but i've tried it and its a huge hassle, but if it works for you then it is what it is. scripting languages also help you with the database analytics.
>portfolio
their portfolio should consist of projects that show that the guy can extract value from real world data. like show me how can i decrease bounce rate, or increase retention time, or get more people into the sales funnel, etc. your whole goal should revolve around how to make money from someone else's data, that way the bossman has a reason to hire you.

sorry, the point was that a strong portfolio would trump certs to me, so focus on the portfolio first, then work on the certs while you're applying to jobs with the portfolio

Anons with certs are lower than even anons with kneepads, for at least they’re honest.

Certmaxing is for when you have an edge with HR harpies and want to show your submission to their corporate tummy tickling. Otherwise run your own biz

I AM COMPLETELY DEMORALIZED

It's a sad club, but one I hope to be welcome.

If i'm optimist, this kind of is training for my ADHD.
I suffer from rejection hypersensitivity.
And after getting so many rejections.
It's like i don't feel anything anymore.

Ok, another acknowledgment that I'm useless....

Not worthy of employment

Feels the same as getting rejected by firls.

I'm not only an incel but also a forever neet.

Without neetbuxxx

anyways, let's pray for that crypto bullrun

so normies are my exit liquidity

muhuhahahahaha
