2rands are under $500 for the first time in a couple weeks after bumping up over it. I gotta fly home from Boston back to SC tomorrow, and if they're still under $500 by the time I get back I'm thinking I might take that as my sign to grab a couple.

God DAMN there is something that feels so comfy about collecting African treasure. My mom did a study program in South Africa as a teenager, grandma gave her fistfuls of cash and instructions to get as much diamonds and gold as she could on the cheap there. Our family now has a small fortune in the stuff. My wife has a 1.5 carat diamond on her finger that my mom brought back from there. Feels like I'm following a family tradition at this point.

Why is the rhetoric on /pmg/ so genuinely violently antisemetic now? I come here to discuss precious metals and see cool coin pics, but in the past few months, half the posts are just people posting a $10 nazi coin with a swastika and a gun, while screeching threats against Jewish people (and I'm not even going to get started on the antisemetic schizo nazi spammer). When did /pmg/ just become /pol/? I thought /pol/cels had their own SETF threads or whatever gay thing. Did their containment board shutdown their containment thread? Is that why they're suddenly posting here so much as of late?

Trumpism has made weak-minded Nazis feel empowered, and this touches particularly weak-minded individuals. It's basically gang or mob mentality. Once a shill yells "She's a Witch", it's pitchforks and torches from then on and can't be stopped no matter what.

Glad I could make somebody smile. I just think it's important to remember that gold and silver aren't just a store of wealth against inflation and economic instability for ourselves, but for future generations as well. I know that my grandparents collected a good bit of gold and silver, passed it on to my parents, and now I'm hoping to do my bit to continue growing the family vault.
I can always play the stock market if I want to make numbers go up and try to get wealthier in the here and now, but collecting treasure (and having future generations to pass it down to) is, in my mind, a way to ensure a legacy.

>Why is the rhetoric on /pmg/ so genuinely violently antisemetic now?

First of all jews aren't semitic, but in saying that you are right about the increased "antisemetic" posting, a few months ago Cliff High put out an audio recording in his substack about how the khazars/zionists were orchestrating more hated towards jews as they have always done as a psyop to continue their victim status so they can use them as a shield to hide behind and to be the scapegoat. The fact is israel has the highest vaccination rates per head of the genocide jab and for over a thousand years have been slaves and victims of their own unhinged satanic cult religion.

You'll see more of this psyop this year and next which will result in the collapse of israel, europe and the probable breakup of the united states too.

Red herring so he can talk about the subject without being cancelled.
There aren’t 2 Jewish groups actually opposing one another. It just seems that way.

The only issues is this is what the central banks are doing to the world governments. You just stumbled upon Hamilton's philosophy of economic growth. I myself and more of a Madison man who believes that interest is unnecessary for a fruitful economy where everyone does business honestly. Along with assets and services create revenue, not imaginary handshakes made on pieces of paper from people who have never looked each other in the eye.

Platinum is like gold, but harder, in some cases the noble properties benefit from the Platinum as the metallic bonds are less likely to compress (hardness). I forgot below what karat of gold ends up being harder than platinum, pure 24karat is soft but like 14 karat might be equal in hardness, though at that alloying, a lotnof the noble properties are diluted and platinum gets the "goldbmedal" in those cases hehe

As those numbers show, gold is actually slightly rarer in the earth than platinum; however it is a bit more available. Much of that platinum is not reachable, and its extreme nobility makes it very expensive to refine.

It's large enough that it might absorb small defenseless coins via gravitational assimilation if you're not careful. I have no interest in the gimmicky modern commemorative bigboi coins but the "real" coins actually struck for circulation are cool AF, very pleasant fondlers with a rich authentic feel.

I'm thinking of taking $1000 12 month loan to build up credit. Idea I had couldn't I get PMs to offset interest with gains and pretty much get free credit boost? Would stocks be a better idea? 18 year old with 1/5 ounce of gold, like 10 ounces of silver(lots of fractionals, buying weight soon but wanted bartering pieces) and 10k in stocks. The real question is, 1/2 ounce of gold, 2 tubes of silver eagles, or a ounce of platinum.

I've picked up 4 different Ptolemaic Egyptian drachms over time from people selling off collections on eBay, they're popular but not that rare so you can get nice ones for under $200. Their more rare big brother is the Octobol (1 and 1/3 drachm) which'll weigh in at 90+g and set you back a grand for a nice one.

There has been inflation since the Fed.

the drachms are bronze, so mostly copper.
>What’s the first coin that isn’t a lumpy ancient blob that also isn’t ungodly expensive and still made of silver?
Dunno how to answer that, coins were usually pretty nuggety for the first few centuries. If you want an affordable ancient silver that is very wide for its weight you should look into Sasanian Drachms like the one at upper right in pic. They're around 4 grams and thus quite thin, but their footprint is impressive and they can often be had for just $25-50 each.

The other more interesting thing is that since demonetization, silver has outpaced dollar inflation by about 2x while gold outpaced inflation by about 7x.
However neither metal has performed anywhere near that well over the last 4 years of massive inflation.
This may indicate that silver and gold have not yet priced in the inflation of the previous years, and may go much higher in price. I'm just speculating, and I'm often wrong, but it seems at least possible.

This is very bad advice to throw around. The bull case for PMs is contingent upon the entire global economy to come screaching to a halt and the banks to stop money printing to plug holes in balance sheets. This shit could continue far longer than any of us could imagine if all of the right global actors all agree to keep the momentum going. Buying PMs of credit and banking on the status quo breaking down imminentaly is a very dangerous bet. Once you get your PMs you should keep a cool head and not burn yourself with FOMO. I'm sure a lot of people can tell you they paid interest on a credit card for PMs or bought silver at massive premiums due to some news cycle only for PMs to drop from $26 down to $18 and premiums to just return to normal.
Even the petro dollar ending in Feb 22 with the BRICs and the Ukraine war everything stills hums along oblivious to the news.

Find a bank or credit union that will do a secured credit-building loan with very low interest. The best credit unions put the collateral in a high yield savings account which will nearly offset the loan interest. It's a better deal as long as you can afford to keep a couple thousand dollars stashed away for a year. Just be aware that typically you can't pay the loan with the collateral so your commitment is about 2x the loan amount.
