Whining about it won’t get you your money back. Don’t do options if you can’t handle the volatility or make sound decisions about your entry points

So what would you suggest I do now? I'm down 500 bucks all time. Started trading mid November.
Down 700 bucks if counting options alone.

How do I ignore these two facts, and still get rich with the measly amount I have? (17k)

>Do you not have some intrinsic sense of recursion that prevents you from doing this?
Well I don't increase the amount I gamble with obviously, so far I haven't ever spent more than 500 bucks on an option. So there's not really recursion there, my hope is basically that one option strikes and I'll be in the green again. All I need is one measly 300% on 300 bucks and that's it

I have a weird way of looking at it which is I try to achieve at least .25% daily compounding total portfolio growth, this works out to about an 87% yearly return. I then enter all my options trades at strike/expiries that I think should achieve this rate. As a whole I’ve outperformed my targets but during downtrends these returns can vary wildly and it’s not uncommon for my entire portfolio to swing 10-20% in either direction in a given week

Around 2019 I once went into NDX100 leveraged as fuck, I think 50x, just betting that it would go up. Then a microcrash happened that fucked me in the ass and almost had me liquidated, so I had to put more money to get enough margin. I managed to not be liquidated, but didn't see a good way out and I had to pay interest daily, so I exited with a loss of around 5k, when my networth was less than 50. NDX100 then recovered quickly, after a day or two, and I would have made some thousands.

the time factor is what makes options incredibly difficult as opposed to just shorting or going long. if i can do everything over again i would have two portfolios in two separate accounts, one long and one short. of course it would've been more of a pain in the ass in situations where i would need all funds accessible in one account to dca down but then again i should have enough $ in one bank acct to keep adding more, and have a long enough time horizon to not rush into buying or shorting more.

with options, just waking up late one day can fuck everything up. it's basically turbo-gambling. worse than crypto. but with options there's 10x, 20x opportunties every day, every week. believe it or not i just saw a 10x move in MCD between that tight little 287-290 just last week and was kicking myself for missing it.

No, Rocker listened to me before and sold his own BOIL before it got too bad. This time was pure JEWS after the EIA report system "maintenance" outage and double report long dragged out rug pull.

Do you have to go through a broker or can I do this on Robinhood? Are dividends just “deposited in my account?” Sorry I’m retarded.

Yes, RH could be your broker. You can choose to have straight cash from dividends or (partial) shares of the stock. Just know the dividends are taxed.

I remember Biden messing with the EIA release. Forget if it was before or after this Rocker /smg/ update where he was shilling oil+natgas before their leg down.

But in any case I already mapped out the pessimistic path 1 and path 2 into this year and sold a large chunk of BOIL from when I got in at 24-25. Now I'm waiting for the next trigger with aussie coal and the WTI Crude to Henry Hub ratio dropping below 17.

I'd say put most of your money in an index ETF such as SPY, like the other anon recommended. Otherwise I would look into what own personal interests and expertise.

I would like to remind everyone in this thread that the FBI is running a preemptive assassination program to eliminate individuals who they think might pose a threat in a potential civil war scenario. Their most recent victim is Paul Harrell, whom they poisoned with paraquat some time in 2021 or 2022 to give him cancer, after he rose to prominence as a popular online firearms instructor following the George Floyd riots. Watch glowniggers flood into this thread after I post this.

RIP Paul
