Maybe De Beers thinks they can get higher carat diamonds in a more economical fashion underground. Otherwise I couldn’t see why they would want to expand in a world with zirconium. I know it’s fake shit and I’d personally want to give my (future) wife a diamond, but the prevailing sentiment is going against real diamonds. It says while supply is tightening, global diamond price is down 1/5th y/o/y.

Honestly, I don’t know what other gold stock I’d rather own than NFG. Even if they never actually enter production, Queensland itself is enough to entice the likes of Newmont or Barrick for a buyout and make shareholders very happy. I’ve had recent buys at like 4.6 and 4.8, any lower than 4 and I’ll be doubling positions

>> No.57252334

I’m seeing a trend where companies like Blackrock and Amazon will announce cuts and they will parrot the “A.I” or “streamlining efforts” BS to placate people into thinking it’s those scapegoats, instead of the real reason which I think is economic contraction. New orders are down, JOLTS surveys are shit, 11-straight months of downward revisions on non-farm payrolls, China recording lowest producer PMI since 2008, interbank money dealers driving up collateral costs.

There are just too many red flags everywhere for these jobs to be the pure casualty of “innovation” and it’s likely these companies are getting ahead of some tough times ahead by axing heads.

they have an incredible property but i am honestly getting worried about how nuggety the material may be. Actually milling material as rich as what they have there could end up being tricky.

By the way, both CONSOL and Alpha Metallurgical Resources are down a bit lately. It might be a dip worth buying for a small gain if they bounce back, like they have been doing for the past few years after such small dips.
But who knows!
Maybe we're in for some shit.
So please don't blame me if you buy the dip and they keep dipping.
Just trying to inform

Grade control becomes extremely important when nuggety deposits are recovered. It is essential that mill feed be kept as close as possible to that called for in the original design specification of the mill and concentrator. Poor grade control ultimately killed Midway Gold.

>> No.57253769

>>57253421
heap leaching doesnt effectively deal with chunky metallic material. As the other anon says, you have to have really good grade control or you start seeing issues, including metallic "plugging" in your plumbing. A good example I can recall was at Mosquito Creek Mine, the grade spiked for a two week period, suddenly the mill was having issues with different parts plugging up. When the plumbing was dismantled they found chunks of fused gold stuck all over the system.

Threads have been like this since the beginning. The only thing that kept them alive through quiet times was big bob and lassen drunk arguing but since lassen got sober and learned to fly we're back to square one. Also we sadly lost a big bumper/baker in the Dane since he sudoku'd.

Things won't change until either gold breaks out or someone starts taking bob's bait again
