https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/vinfast-rallies-after-becoming-worlds-third-most-valuable-automaker-2023-08-28/

>Aug 28 (Reuters) - Shares of Vietnamese electric-vehicle maker Vinfast surged 21% on Monday, extending a rally from last week that more than quadrupled its market value to $160 billion.

The company made a blowout debut on Wall Street this month and has quickly grown in valuation to become the third-most valuable automaker - only behind Tesla (TSLA.O) and Toyota (7203.T).

>The stock was on track to add nearly $33.6 billion to its market capitalization, based on a share price of $83.33.

Never understood the emotional attachments to sports ball teams. I remember my dad either chimping out or being so happy he chimped out when his favorite nigger team won or lost. Regardless of outcome it was always best to be far away from the house. Anyway it does seem to generate a lot of money for colleges and hopefully educating the next generation of white men to keep the complex areas of our society running, at least for now. When that’s gone, we’re screwed. Buy oil.

My take is that AI is following the exact same trend as the 90s Dot Com Bubble, where it's something that will have genuine valuation and change a lot about how the world works in the long-run, but people are jumping the gun and getting ahead of themselves in the short-run. I'm assuming a similar trend of hype, followed by a crash, followed by about a decade of low values before the technology starts to really reach massive market penetration and prices go back up again. Basically mirroring what internet companies did from the 90s to 00s to 10s.

I played from fourth grade and into college. I used to be a part of the cult and understand its allure. The nostalgia people have from watching games, reminiscing with friends, the structure with good role models leading boys and turning them into men is awe inspiring.

Much of what makes most people can and will be instilled during these years.

I am no longer a manner of the cult, as it’s all pre arranged now it seems to me with referees literally proctoring the games and nurturing their outcomes. No wealthy jew would risk their fortune on the wants and desires of goy. No matter how many sayanim are there to make sure it goes as planned. Don’t be a fool and think that it’s real. I don’t partake in anything but college ball but it will be as pozzd as the rest soon enough after monetization

Not any meaningful index - index market caps are a useless metric. If you account for derivatives which, despite its name does drive the underlying assets price, then you are looking at hundreds of trillions of dollars.
Most countries in the world would be hard pressed to move a notable index with its combined capital these days. It would have to be a combined effort, or shutting of off the valve.

I don't think they even need to do that. Just dedicated some people to improving SIMT in either their compiler or open source ones and then do a small amount of marketing.
They already do compiler work, I'd imagine that has to be a top priority for those teams right now.

I broke my old samsung phone and had to replace it. Pissed by it, I chose the cheapest samsung phone I could (A14 5G) at 200$. It's *kind of* ok, I mean it works for everything and has NFC and that fancy shit, but it's bulky and I would have liked something smaller. If you don't care about that and fancy screens and such, it's a good choice (e.g. I think it would make a perfect Uber driver phone). Otherwise go for something more high-end.
