Monero is getting delisted everywhere. No liquidity = no pump. As nice it would be for everyone to use Dexes, trade p2p with cash, and hold hands in a libertarian paradise, that shit isn't happening. You don't have whales or retail, and the black market gets by fine no matter what the price of Monero is.

Technically not really, if its too low its not secure anymore but i agree it doesnt need pumps.
What were some recent delists?

When people actually start using crypto and realize it’s not private that liquidity problem is going the other way. What do you think happens when everyone wants something that’s not for sale

monero is a niche and thats ok, you can use to buy services like actual anonymous VPNs, donate to video game pirates
>>57228501
privacy is like a seatbelt you may very much not care and be fine your entire life, but if you do need it is going to be too late

Remember the freedom convoy? People got their bank accounts frozen for donating $20 to truckers. Then all the Bitcoin they donated was blocked/seized. And then everyone proceeded to do nothing and forget about it.

There will be a Privacy Revolution and that's when people decide to shill XMR. Could take 10 years but I'm confident it'll be over $1000 one day. Only crypto with a legit use case and actual privacy. It's what Bitcoin normies THINK they bought.

But thats bullish for Monero, and Monero pumped hard

>> No.57228791

I have a large amount of XMR and think short term it's going to nuke on the ratio. Bitcoin ETF approval seems likely, and a Binance delisting is going to drop XMR hard. Ratio might be .002 within a month.

Isnt it priced in?
I hold mostly Ethereum so xmr/eth is the most relevant to me
You think it will capitulate?
But thats the Moment you buy

It's mostly mined by malware. the hackers selling it literally get it for free. It could go down to a dollar and still be profitable for them.

Nothing is ever priced in. People sit on the sidelines waiting to see how things pan out before making a move. In this case you have people holding back for a major positive development in Bitcoin, and a major negative one for Monero. Since they're happening roughly at the same time this could very easily lead to the ratio getting crushed.

>> No.57229110

XMR is in a shitty position because it's unclear how much of it is in the hands of adversaries.

It was open about what it was (since the rebrand from BitMonero to Monero) -- but that also made it a target in it's weakest infant moments for motivated actors to control the supply and price.

It is unclear how much force is available to be exerted to maintain this relationship. It will ALWAYS pump when someone needs to wash a big fishing expedition worth of funds, so it makes a great swing coin -- but by design it is impossible to figure out who is mining it, who holds it, and who makes the books with it.

If 90% of the Monero ecosystem are motivated actors with a shit-ton of Bitcoin who feel it is in their best interests to suppress the price of Monero, then there is not much that can be done about that. Nor can it really ever be known.

Still I think it breaks out eventually probably.

atomic swaps are live right now. trading happens off cex right now. you’re 100% wrong on this. but you do you lol

>> No.57229213

How many threads are we going to see from retards who think the point of monero is to pump and make money? Monero is a stablecoin, you don't buy monero to make more money, you buy monero to buy drugs and guns, it's an actual currency.

>> No.57229439

>>57228772
It pumped a teensy bit and then people went right back to preferring convenience over freedom. The vast majority will always do what they're told no matter how dystopian, so Monero will always remain on the fringe.
