nice.
and good use of the adjective "literal" in its alternate use as a general term expressing emphasis, rather than it's primary definition of "actual."
Because that's not confusing in the least. That's some A+ languaging there.

you can't derail my thread, this etf is not good for btc. the funds already are sitting on the btc for the etf which means no more money is coming in, only to their etf

what?
It's a spot ETF ... the the fund has to literally buy the bitcoin 1:1

it's literally an easy button for normies to buy bitcoin ... not "paper bitcoin" or "fractional reserve bitcoin," but actual bitcoin. Anyone who puts $500 a month toward this ETF in their 401(k), for example, would create consistent buy pressure of $500 a month in the actual bitcoin markets.

My boomer dad has asked me at least three times how to buy bitcoin. I think he wants to, but it's different and he's literally afraid he's going to screw it up. So he hasn't bought any. But you know what he does have? A Fidelity account and a financial planner. Once "buy bitcoin" is as easy as calling his broker, he's definitely going to be buying.

If you don't understand how a spot ETF means a literal ton more capital flowing in, I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah but its not redeemed for btc its redeemed for cash… and say they have 10,000 shares of btc ETF at launch. That means blackrock is ALREADY sitting on 10,000 btc
>priced in
If someone owns the etf share they sell to someone else that etf share, that doesn’t create any volume for btc, it just creates volume for the etf and thus transaction fees gained for blackrock. Money that would have otherwise or not gone into btc directly, now can buy generated shares of an etf
It also means it gives blackrock the ability to hold large stacks of btc to manipulate price and thus
>tame btc

Yes and no
>yes
Normies won't actually have BTC is in the hands of BR
>no
While normies have paper BR os legally obliged to make custody or have a clearing house to hold said BTC so the paper do represent the real BTC quantity nonetheless.

Fud. Blackrock isnt even holding the btc, its coinbase. and the etf will have parity with bitcoin via coinbase buying/selling to keep the price the same.

the price rise will come from all the firms that have bylaws that prevent buying of crypto or non nyse listed assets. this opens it up for them.

Of course it’s redeemed for cash the same way when you sell BTC for USD it’s redeemed for cash. When you buy the BTC ETF they buy BTC on spot. What are you, some kind of retard?
