I was looking at homes in a small town I like yesterday, population approx 10-15k people. Just out of curiosity. The inventory is low I get it but they're asking 600-800k for absolute shitbox houses. Is that just the world now? There was one house listed for double what it sold for in 2020. This isn't even some affluent city suburb its kind of in the middle of no where

A few condos I like also spiked in inventory and have much more reasonable prices now than 4 months ago. Hopefully this really is a nice correction and I can get something nice. I'll probably buy whatever shack I can at the end 2024 regardless though.

Just wait till spring and the panic sets in when the traditional high volume seasons don't materialize.

Pure hopium. The house prices may have a very small reduction but this is the new normal for house prices. I'm very sorry you got priced out, anon.

It's almost here. About to take a big short position against real estate to hedge my overall portfolio. We have been chewing through support the past year and now supply is just about enough to trigger the panic and dump.

Housing is deflationary. The more FUD I hear in the media about the housing crash, the more I know it will never crash.

that’s called delusional cope lol, home prices are literally in free fall as is rent.
