This happens because people use BTC to declare losses and so avoid paying taxes on their businesses' benefits.
After the year ends, they immediately sell and recover those benefits to be used in the next fiscal year.

People hate the government so much they would rather gamble their yearly benefits on shitcoins than cash out and pay taxes on it.
