Just their coat of arms, nothing of great artistic merit but I always thought it was cool that Hawaii had their own coinage before getting annexed. In total they had $1,000,000 worth of coins from dimes to dollars struck, but by 1907 $814,000 had been redeemed and melted at the US mint and many of the remainders had been used to make jewelry. They're all pretty scarce but because of how many dimes got turned into cufflinks or bracelets etc. the quarters are the easiest to find in good shape.

The Royal Mint also stopped selling all coins with the queen's portrait on them on 31/12/2023 so the price will go up over the years, especially for the low mintage ones.

I keep track of it all anyway and all the coins I've bought in 2023 have been at spot or £1-2 above.

I no longer use it, but in that photo it anchored the backstop to the granite without leaving tape goo when removed. Now I use tape, and will move the tile (rarely) and/or the tripod (for big items). Here's an updated though not-yet annotated image. Also, I use only ambient light.
I agree the lion looks derpy, but it's the medieval rendition.

Couldn't get much cheaper. Camera/equipment aside, the granite was a sample from when we went counter-top hunting (so "free" if you don't count the countertop purchase), and the flooring was leftover from the construction, so again "free". kek. The black paper was about the only other purchase.

It was just a pretty surface to shoot on. I've since replaced it with a tile of the same stone. I now use a tripod, as I have to raise the camera for larger pieces. To mitigate vibration, the camera leans against the dresser (it's not a table). The exposures are typically seconds long, so shutter shock is negligible anyway.

They're selling it based off the silver price I think as all their other 1 oz coins are the same price. Bought 2, going to call tomorrow and see how many he has left and buy them all.
Problem with these sorts of coins are they're only worth more to collectors, and a pmg coin has a very limited number of collectors. Pic related is on sale on eBay for £190, too rich for my blood but I'd happily pay £75/80 for it when it's silver content is only £20.
