How fucked up is your financial situation?
>Michael, 33, from Richmond, Virginia, finds himself in this uncomfortable position. On an episode of personal finance YouTuber Caleb Hammer’s show “Financial Audit,” Michael admits he has at least $62,815 in total debt and an outstanding tax bill that’s yet to be paid
>The average amount of debt per American is roughly $60,000 as of the third quarter of 2023, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. That means Michael’s debt isn’t unusually high.
>He also recommends setting aside a portion of earnings for taxes.
>“You don’t want [owed taxes] to turn into future debt, and the IRS is not someone to f— with,” Hammer said

American systems are designed to financially enslave and extract labor from its people. From the moment working class babies are born they are bombarded with media, music, imagery, and education designed to make them the most effective workers they can be for the machine. Financial education is only for the elite. The single easiest equation to understanding the entire American financial situation is [Debt = Slavery] . This was common knowledge just 80 years ago, but the Silent Generation stood by (silently lol) while the Boomers normalized debt slavery in the name of labor raping the lower and middle classes. It's a beautifully crafted system when you look at it objectively, given that outright slavery was abolished and there needed to be something to take it's place. Human nature is a bitch huh.

I mean, sure, but government has always been this way. The use of debt furthers that bonding to the state, certainly, but it is by no means unique to "America". And for how much we can complain about it, the standard of living for middle class americans is among the highest in the world, despite being "slaves".

If you're living paycheck to paycheck and need financial advice read this book - it's the Red Pill for money.

I paid of $16,500 using Dave's plan - out of debt and never going back.

Debt is a tool, it is when one uses debts on liabilities over assets that one loses. If done correctly, your debts turn into assets and cash flows. Debt is also great in an inflationary context for businesses as the dollar amount remains but the company can charge more dollars for the same goods and services.

tl;dr, stop using good goy debt and use the system to get assets, before it's too late.

I'm going to produce a very good counter argument here.

The average person has so much USELESS SHIT these days in comparison. Like all these so called "poor people" have computers, 4 monitors, 2 tvs, 1-2 cars, multiple sets of headphones, multiple phones, printers, 50 pairs of shoes, 100 types of shirts and pants, 20 different knives, dishwashers, washers, endless food supply of every type (hence 60% obesity rates), 3 trillion hygeine products. They get shit delivered to their front door.......

And I can really go on forever. But... it's never enough. They just NEED MORE. More material goods + more convenience.
People in western states (particularly the USA) live life on LITERAL EASY MODE. They can have ANYTHING they want even on basic salaries. If you grind and get an OP job, you basically have everything in your hands.

You can make the same exact argument for a caged animal at a zoo. Except in this case the system is profiting off your labor, not your mere existence as an animal in a zoo. All of those amenities you listed are concessions for submitting your labor to the system. It's easymode for many, but so was slavery. Pick some cotton. Get a roof and meals. Just don't complain when it comes time for master to make his decision to take you out back.
