1. its time-proven, just like btc
2. good tokenomics. like btc but with more longevity. less inflation than gold, but enough to incentivize mining long after btcs block rewards zero out.
3. privacy. criminally underrated in this space. you will want privacy when the world is running on crypto
4. better decentralization than btc. randomx is simply superior
5. has been in a 7 year accumulation range between $100-$500
6. prone to prohibition. prohibition of any asset in the past never stops its use, but only increases the price of the asset. incentivizes mining which further increases decentralization
7. it just works. i mean.. it works -really- well.
8. nobody talks or cares for it right now. the liberty this form of asset gives you is unmatched by any asset the human race has ever been exposed to. a population using xmr would be freer than any nation on earth, possibly freer than humanity has ever been before

this will happen over this bull run. i know you think its an old dead random coin, but you need to understand:

MONERO IS THE BEST ASSET IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY

You're correct but it's too shady to get enough liquidity to moon

Also Monero not having a fixed max supply is a huge downside

>> No.57086719

not when the future supply can be accurately estimated, and the rate at which the supply increases is low.

the inflation cost is given directly to the security to the network. continued mining incentive, unlike btc.

there is a greater risk of btc centralization once block rewards near zero.

XMR will never pump because the developers gave themselves billions of coins which they've been continually dumping, and nobody can tell that it's happening because all the transactions are private

I doubt Monero survives long term. It is already outclassed from a privacy perspective. You now have differential private tokens which can be more private than Monero or completely open or anywhere in between. Why would you use Monero? It’s just not a very good token at this point. Was a cool experiment! But holding it now is like buying an old television from before flat screens.

Monero is the only privacy coin that actually gets used. Too bad that doesn't translate into good price action

Scarcity doesn’t always mean valuable.
There were limited release beanie babies (you don’t know what those are because you are underaged) that are still worth near nothing despite being scarce. Monero won’t reach 20k because it will never receive institutional money because it’s untaxable.
