I need a strategy to land a remote job where I'll be left alone, what's the best role to aim for?

Just be a web serial author or artist if you want to spend so much time on the computer and not be bothered by a boss.

worked remotely since pre-pandemic

It depends on your skills

Account management, sales, customer service, product management, development , marketing…

What is your work history like?

For example - one of my degenerate former band mates only had experience in a sub shop. We leveraged his experience to get him a remote sales position for a point of sale system

Another friend was a masseuse - got her a job as a customer service representative remotely for a massage booking software company

What are your skills? What experience do you have?

Worked 6 months as frontend-dev in a startup, got fired for forcing remote during the pandemic (they called themselves family and said familymembers work in the office lol).

I'm rather bad at front-end, I'm a tad too dumb for deep JavaScript skills. Also know some Angular.

I’d get some outside perspective on your resume

Refresh and make a few different versions based on what roles you’re applying to (industry, specific role et)

Best way to get a job is to know someone or have mutual contacts to vouch for you

If you don’t have that make a video and sample that shows you can communicate asynchronously and take initiative

Thanks, will do so. Do you know any markers I can check for to make sure the company will leave me alone? Should I aim for very big companies or rather companies that only need one frontend-guy for a static website?

Remote and wfh doesn't mean left alone.
>Hey can I ping you?
>Get an invite for a meeting that starts in 1 minutes
>Get a group call with 10 people on it
>Ping
>Ping
>Ping
>Incoming teams call
>Hey
>Got a minute?
>Doesn't respond when you say yes
>Hi

I know, the being left alone part is the icing on the cake. I know normies doing dev jobs that get like 1 task a week taking a few minutes, acting like it took the whole week

what education you have?

if something technical already, get a Microsoft certificate for a Data role. No one will really bother you in any worthwhile company as long as you get the job done:
Analyst:
>PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst
Data dev (Azure)
>DP-203 Azure Data Engineer

(forget the one star/nonstar certificates they are worthless and just make you look like a beginner or clown if you say you have good skills)

Studied IT for a few semesters and got a role as a frontend-dev without graduating.

Is this enough to acquire those certificates you mentoined?

its safer to wage than getting into that scam, its the same as being a third worlder working for 3 dollars a day, and dumping, not worth it to just "be your own exploiter"

work in customer service at home, but it will make your house feel like an office instead of your home, I can't even look at the SPX chart anymore without feeling like I have to answer the 90yo granny who can't find the wifi button
