Why does Cardano have a marketcap of 21 BILLION Dollars? No one talks about it, no one uses it, no one builds on it, no one needs it. Nothing happened in the last years. It's founder is a fat, wannabe Steve Jobs manchild with no charisma.
Please enlighten me.

People looking for L1's are looking for a challenger to ETH.
Essentially, have lower fees, make it easy to develop on and for and make it fast and easy to deploy for a validator.
Done.
SOL has 50% of those traits and is now memecoin land.
Imagine having all of them.

I was like you in 2021. Only bought heckin based /biz/ coins that frog avatars on twitter were shilling early on. Ended up outperformed like a motherfucker in the latter stages of the bull when gazillions of normies piled into normie alts, swapping with Ledger Live and your frog avatars have moved from (your) early pumping L1 into meme coins

I understand the marketcap number is bullshit, but is it still useful for figuring out how much a coin can still pump?
for example, a low cap coin is more likely to do a 100x than a big cap coin?

Just claimed my weekly 3 ADA staking reward. Thanks Charles!

None of that matters. First mover advantage is everything in the crypto space, and nothing is going to make ETH budge. Doesn't mean you can't make money off other L1's though.

Sure, brand new chains have bigger upward potential, but there are hundreds made each year that flash in the pan and are never heard from again. Best bet right now is to pick a developing chain and buy into some good projects, imo. Cardano is a good pick, but sol and avax still have lots of untapped niche projects as well.
