Avalanche has been getting slammed for the past WEEK and a half or so, this is after previous inscription mania in November. The chain never went down and if you paid the fee your tx got finalized in under a second per usual. Unlike permissioned pisschain where dfinity will just ban a spammer, the C chain uses the gas fee as spam prevention and to keep the network from exceeding node hardware constraints. The fact that avalanche stayed up 100% with burst TPS of nearly 1000 and sustained of over 80 for days on end DESPITE the fee increase all while running on ~1600 literal toasters is a testament to the fact that avalanche consensus will scale even a trash VM like the EVM far beyond what any other chain is capable of. The Chinese inscription fanatics blew tens of millions of dollars and they still couldnt bring the chain down. And this is before firewood db otpimizes storage, before the EVM rewrite is deployed, and before node hardware reqs are scaled to match hardware progress in the past 4 years at a minimum.
