Several friends of mine recently got emails from HitBTC telling them that they were signed up for an account. There have also been numerous reports of litecoins and bitcoins being transferred to coinbase and being lost. There is good potential that something happened at coinbase. Anyone else hearing anything suspicious? Mt. Coinbase ?

also, this might be unrelated but i sent 0.7 LTC from Polo to my exodus LTC wallet about 20 hours ago and it still hasnt been received.
on Polo it says status confirmed but nothing yet

Coinbase is an extension of the government. They report to the IRS, and any transfers are counted as sales so they report you. Now think about it. What better way to get more regulation and government involvement than to get hacked and loose large amounts of money?

had a friend report today that he had 50 cents in eth the night before last and yesterday it was just gone.
granted it was only 50 cents but no has no idea where it went.
also he had to re enter all of his bank info and card number again.
very shady activity.
i would not recommend storing in coinbase
