Fair value accounting and a BTC ETF allows institutional investors to hold bitcoin.
Retail will fomo in as the ETF becomes available because of an army of sales people that make money from tx and management fees.
It's going to be like how everyone switch from having 100% bonds and 0% equities to 5% equities because it performed better. Everyone's going to have 1-5% crypto because it's uncorrelated and all the sales people will sell it's their fiduciary duty to recommend it.
With just 1% that's going to be hundreds of billions of dollars fighting for the tiny amount of bitcoin available for trade.
Hundreds of billions puts BTC at roughly 500k.
And that's only 1%, what happens when everyone sees it moving? What happens when people allocate more? And the result of the world invests more? And this is all before we even consider the halving in a few months and an election year coming up.
With all these confluence of factors it seems inevitable that BTC will hit 1m this decade.
