There’s speculation they might do a PP just to keep the cash flow going, since the BC ministry is taking their sweet fucking time with a pending economically and environmentally sound project. I think Jan 14th is the earliest possible resolution. Hopefully that will be the end of it and Rana and the crew can either drill more into Boulder and show the hits to bolster the sp, then get into actual production whenever that is in the timeline.

PAN MAN, could BLLG get shipping ore by fall if all the permits are approved in next month?

Also fuck should bought more Encore back in the summer, although we could see a pullback to $4 if U238 spot goes back to $50s. You can look at the chart and compare it to other U stocks and see how the market is finally catching onto Encore and it’s excellent team and resource. yes they could well be operating next fall, but with how govs been with these guys it could be another 8-10 months before their actually allowed to operate the mine. Things need to be kicked into gear over at the mines office, their holding back a dozen projects like Dome and its causing all sorts of problems. It might be better to begin operating in the late spring as well. Old Babine Lake Rd is not the best to drive on in winter for serious 4x4 vehicles, haul trucks would have a hell of a time shipping material out by early winter. Bringing in gear might also be a challenge depending on how maintained the back way is from Houston.

I am thrilled to see their making progress, and i am sure the Babine Lake Bands are badgering the gov as well to get things moving. They need an economic pick me up badly since logging has been hammered.

There’s also a penny stock, CAT -Strategic Metals. They have quite a few uranium-bearing fields in the Athabasca (South Preston) region, gold properties in the historic Elko District Nevada, a copper site in NB and a lithium deposit in Zimbabwe.

On their website it states they are interested in the acquisition and development of the various assets in their possession. This is a $2.7m mcap company, I’m pretty sure they’re not ever taking a project beyond the junior stage like say BLLG is attempting. This is likely a pure junior who will try and pimp out properties to larger players. I could see their plans doing well when more money flows into the sector and big boys have more money to acquire these properties. Right now is not that time, so companies like CAT can only hope that they get ahead of the frenzy and start developing these properties and showing good results. It’s a 0.01 ticker and every year goes to 0.04. It’s a lottery ticket that you can put $100 and see what happens.

Yea I brought them up either late 2021 or 2022, they were at a higher valuation back then.

Flipping through the newswire, they had a PP in Oct, in August they filed 32 lithium-lode claims to Nevadan authorities, which came with some interesting notes:

>The host rocks for lithium deposits in this Jackpot region, which may extend over an area of more than 40 square miles (10,360 hectares), are hosted by the eastern equivalent of the Humboldt Formation (Ts3) sedimentary and tuffaceous rocks of suggested "late to very late Miocene age" by Coats (1987), post-dating the Jarbidge Rhyolite. The source of the lithium may be lithium-rich volcanically-derived Opal Spring hydrothermal fluids that were fed upward into the overlying sediments and poorly-lithified sedimentary rocks along northerly-, northeasterly-, and northwesterly-trending feeder faults.

They have tons of lithium-bearing properties next the Surge Battery Metals( not to be confused with Surge Copper) properties which have themselves did a 3x in a month back in September after revealing the nature of their findings on their adjacent properties. CAT is banking on Surge’s lithium deposits extending into their claims. It’s like the Hercules and Bayhorse relation, except these properties are right next to each other as opposed to 40km or whatever it is up in Idaho. CAT didn’t really catch wind from Surge like BHS did from BIG, so you wonder if it’s just super under-the-radar or if investors aren’t sold on the management/ roadmap.

Some further notes:

>Eleven rock chip samples were taken during the recent mid-July visit to the property. Several samples were collected from tuffaceous sediment units on CAT's new claims that could be host to Lithium mineralization. Two new discoveries of possible epithermal gold mineralization were staked and sampled.

>> No.56985535

Well I was wondering how the hell a $2.7m micro cap could manage all these properties around the world, it turns out they are spinning off their Uranium assets into a separate company:

>CAT's board and management team determined, as part of the Company's ongoing strategic review of its portfolio, that a spin-off of its South Preston Uranium Project - tentatively to be named Uranium Investments Corp. ("UIC") - provides the best path to enhance shareholder value; including by:

Distributing 100% of all UIC shares to CAT's shareholders. On the record date, every shareholder who owns CAT stock will receive free shares of UIC on an anticipated 1-for-1 basis.

I’d rather buy a company who is actively buying new land claims in coveted areas and actively re-structuring their business structure. They’re above the likes of SSE and their Pino Plata blunders despite being at less than half the valuation. That’s a low bar, but we’re talking penny stocks here. I’m not saying this is the next Encore or SALT. I’m just saying it’s a lottery ticket to have fun with, while also having some legit upside.

CAT was “elevated” in Spring until early June and then more less flatlined, while Surge was quiet until late Summer/Sept then had a huge gap up. I briefly touched on this here >>56985462 and noted that it seemed odd CAT didn’t catch that tailwind during the NILI frenzy. Oh hey this is exactly the thread I was looking for!

I'm looking to start investing some money on the side in mining and natural resources stocks. I made a thread yesterday about it but now I see this thread.

I've got a handful of shares of Rio Tinto and a single share of Cameco. I'm relatively new to all of this, but I'm interested in investing more in raw materials and the companies that mine them.

Incidentally I am interested in this as a long term thing, as a way to build wealth over years and decades. So day to day stuff doesn't bother me so much.

Why would anyone short a stock which has more than doubled on nothing more than a promotional campaign? The uptick rule isn't going to save anything. The fact is that many stocks need to die.

I will literally hit a 100x multiplier on ol horse. We knew this entire time the mine had more value than we could currently prove. Thats why big brained anons held on through all the bs.

Rig count in continental USA is down to like 625 right now from thousands just 5 years ago. There isn’t a deliberate culling for competitive pricing reasons, but rather the tech is a lot better and now single rigs are pulling much more crude than ever before. A lot of people think Bakken, Marcellus and the other big shale plays will peak next year and they will have to scramble more to find more productive wells where source rock is present

>Miners in particular are as repressed as the metals they remove from the ground.
Bayhorse is not a miner, despite what fat man says. He once hired a gang of laborers to clean out the muck left behind from real miners and store it in super sacks. That's maintenance, not mining.
He similarly hired a marine and a couple of his buddies to cosplay for a photo op. That's PR, not mining.
He also attempted to sell construction aggregates for $10 per ton from his failed barite scam but never reported any revenue. That's desperation, not mining.
Are we seeing a pattern here? The only things Graeme O'Neil's companies mine are the stock market and gullible fools. That's my $0.02.

>do they not believe that the marketplace can see past their facade?
Since CAT is trading at $0.01, it's apparent that the marketplace sees beyond its facade. However there's always a population of gambler who either is too lazy to or doesn't know how how to conduct due diligence. This group is easily swayed by "influencers" who run pump and dumps, whether at their own behest or through the bidding of the company. In this particular case, the latest was run by someone who calls themself @slowride.
The category of lifestyle company under which CAT falls is a combination of area play and flavor-of-the-month commodity. Their exploration properties typically are worthless, hence real work is seldom done on them.
Rosner is a front man for CAT's backers--those who finance it periodically but who never appear in any of the company filings. These are the ones who dump millions of shares on the suckers who don't know any better. Often they will hire a pumper when they need to sell shares.
As long as the caste of lazy or ignorant gamblers exists, these types of companies will continue their parasitism.

I wonder about the extent of the hack. One of the reasons I never registered there was because they wanted ALL of your personal information, even just to post on their forums. Now perhaps some group has that information for tens of thousands of people who buy physical PMs. If so, kitco is fucked, and all those buyers will be looking over their shoulders.

All those white bags outside the mine are filled with sorted ore, just needs to be made into concentrate.

Is this the bayhorse fud now? The mine doesn't have valuable ore within it? Oh how far you idiots have fallen.

That "valuable ore" was muck left behind by the previous owners. Bayhorse merely hired contractors to clean it out and bag it. They never mined it.

unfortunately that was a long time coming. Management at Myra has been complaining about poor planning from Trafigura. Ore grade was also becoming a problem, so it makes sense that it closed. Myra has closed a few times over the years though, it will come back again in a different form.

How much of the reported US production is actually condensate? Seems like gasoline and things which are derivative of NGLs are in overabundance while bunker fuel, diesel, kerosene etc. are tigther. How much of this is a quality issue from the United States inundating the global market with light oil?

>> No.57034259

>>57033611
What is your sell target? Are you planning based on share price or gold price?

>> No.57034277

>>57033875
Most current US refining capacity is geared towards heavy crude (API gravity <25) which is why so much (60%) of US imports are from the heavy oil sands of Alberta. So any light crude from Texas or North Dakota has to be shipped overseas since heavier, imported crudes are actually cheaper to refine. This leads to downstream cost reductions and lower pricing pressures to domestic consumers.

I’m not an expert by any means, but there are plenty of people with expertise who openly share their views of the oil market like Anas Al-Hajji or Art Berman

>> No.57034369

>>57033875
Of and I couldn’t see the first part of your question since I’m on mobile and my dialogue box was covering the text. Art Berman has actually been hammering home the fact that a surprising amount of US production are condensates (EIA estimates 10% on average) which means that over a million barrels of “oil” aren’t even oil lol.

This reeks of a fix to make things look better , similar to when the fed first changed basket weighting for CPI reporting in the 1990s and continue to do so.

I’m like -21% on my GDXJ holdings, so not anytime soon lol. I just think there’s a lot of smart money frontrunning into gold and maintaining that 2000 support in the face of upcoming (and already in-progress) lowering of bond yields and real rates. Hitting the number 2000 alone is enough to capture a lot of attention and get people into a lot of the NYSE listings and furthermore into TSXV if they are serious. So yea I’m liking GDXJ as my base case is a quicker and more aggressive than expected rate cut regime for 2024.

Alaska also has tons of coal reserves but I’d imagine would be quite tough to make it economical considering the proximity to the lower 48 and the lack of infrastructure in deep Alaskan country. I also read that back in 1996, Clinton signed a decree to designate Utah’s Grand Staircase (1.7M acres) as a national protected sight. He effectively shut down any hopes of extracting the largest deposit of some of the cleanest and most dense coal known in America. Crazy how the whims (read: special interests) of a president can divert critical sources of energy from being used.

This is an extremely concerning trend, especially now with the EPA trying to treat CO2 as "pollution."
Utah has some amazing coal seams.

Here's another bullshit scam company -- Element79 Resources -- which has been promising near-term production at Lucero in Peru for two years now. It's at 16,000-foot elevation in the Andes, has no water permits in place, most of the adits are still sealed, and the grade and extent of mineralization are unknown. The Peruvian authorities didn't grant Condor a drilling permit for proposed drilling in 2016.
It's heavily pumped on Twitter, CEO, and elsewhere, had a rollback earlier this year, has a revolving debt facility, and just announced a financing at a 40% discount to market. Guaranteed that it's already booked for unnamed insiders , this is the type of bullshit financing that will be sold off through offshore nominee accounts once it becomes free trading, just like the shares issued through its debt facility. It's no wonder that nobody trusts these Vancouver outfits and that they can't attract new blood to suck.

The EPA can be pretty credible and impartial too. According to their own studies, there has never been an instance of water table contamination in the history of US fracking. Yes, there are concerns about disposal and recycling of fracking water, but as for direct casual contamination- no such connection could be established according to the EPA

that usually means they didnt get anything worth reporting from the drill program. Since their not reporting towards a 43-101 compliant report they didnt have to post the rest of the results.
