yes they could well be operating next fall, but with how govs been with these guys it could be another 8-10 months before their actually allowed to operate the mine. Things need to be kicked into gear over at the mines office, their holding back a dozen projects like Dome and its causing all sorts of problems. It might be better to begin operating in the late spring as well. Old Babine Lake Rd is not the best to drive on in winter for serious 4x4 vehicles, haul trucks would have a hell of a time shipping material out by early winter. Bringing in gear might also be a challenge depending on how maintained the back way is from Houston.

I am thrilled to see their making progress, and i am sure the Babine Lake Bands are badgering the gov as well to get things moving. They need an economic pick me up badly since logging has been hammered.

There’s also a penny stock, CAT -Strategic Metals. They have quite a few uranium-bearing fields in the Athabasca (South Preston) region, gold properties in the historic Elko District Nevada, a copper site in NB and a lithium deposit in Zimbabwe.

On their website it states they are interested in the acquisition and development of the various assets in their possession. This is a $2.7m mcap company, I’m pretty sure they’re not ever taking a project beyond the junior stage like say BLLG is attempting. This is likely a pure junior who will try and pimp out properties to larger players. I could see their plans doing well when more money flows into the sector and big boys have more money to acquire these properties. Right now is not that time, so companies like CAT can only hope that they get ahead of the frenzy and start developing these properties and showing good results. It’s a 0.01 ticker and every year goes to 0.04. It’s a lottery ticket that you can put $100 and see what happens.

Flipping through the newswire, they had a PP in Oct, in August they filed 32 lithium-lode claims to Nevadan authorities, which came with some interesting notes:

It’s like the Hercules and Bayhorse relation, except these properties are right next to each other as opposed to 40km or whatever it is up in Idaho. CAT didn’t really catch wind from Surge like BHS did from BIG, so you wonder if it’s just super under-the-radar or if investors aren’t sold on the management/ roadmap.

Also you should perform an overlay of both Surge and CATs charts, they peak and trough at exact opposite times. CAT was “elevated” in Spring until early June and then more less flatlined, while Surge was quiet until late Summer/Sept then had a huge gap up. Yes, if you're patient this can work. But you can also get rugged if the company pulls a reverse split. I used to do the 1/2 to 1 cent flip, but sometimes it could take several months to get filled on both sides, all the time worrying about the company pulling a 10 for 1. But, yeah, for a $1,000 trade, it's not such a big deal.

Most current US refining capacity is geared towards heavy crude (API gravity <25) which is why so much (60%) of US imports are from the heavy oil sands of Alberta. So any light crude from Texas or North Dakota has to be shipped overseas since heavier, imported crudes are actually cheaper to refine. This leads to downstream cost reductions and lower pricing pressures to domestic consumers.

I’m like -21% on my GDXJ holdings, so not anytime soon lol. I just think there’s a lot of smart money frontrunning into gold and maintaining that 2000 support in the face of upcoming (and already in-progress) lowering of bond yields and real rates. Hitting the number 2000 alone is enough to capture a lot of attention and get people into a lot of the NYSE listings and furthermore into TSXV if they are serious. Alaska also has tons of coal reserves but I’d imagine would be quite tough to make it economical considering the proximity to the lower 48 and the lack of infrastructure in deep Alaskan country. I also read that back in 1996, Clinton signed a decree to designate Utah’s Grand Staircase (1.7M acres) as a national protected sight. He effectively shut down any hopes of extracting the largest deposit of some of the cleanest and most dense coal known in America. Here's another bullshit scam company -- Element79 Resources -- which has been promising near-term production at Lucero in Peru for two years now. It's at 16,000-foot elevation in the Andes, has no water permits in place, most of the adits are still sealed, and the grade and extent of mineralization are unknown. The Peruvian authorities didn't grant Condor a drilling permit for proposed drilling in 2016.
It's heavily pumped on Twitter, CEO, and elsewhere, had a rollback earlier this year, has a revolving debt facility, and just announced a financing at a 40% discount to market. Guaranteed that it's already booked for unnamed insiders , this is the type of bullshit financing that will be sold off through offshore nominee accounts once it becomes free trading, just like the shares issued through its debt facility. It's no wonder that nobody trusts these Vancouver outfits and that they can't attract new blood to suck.
