The actual answer is that stocks will dump no matter what. When they want a dump it will dump no matter what. Did you see how oil briefly pumped into the OPEC meeting and then violently reversed despite a "favorable' decision to cut production? The fed can cut rates, it will dump because they will say it's "not enough". The Fed can increase rates, it will dump because it's "too much". The fed can do nothing at all and it will still dump the market because the market always dumps at this time of year because companies and hedge funds re-arrange their portfolio and take losses going into the new year, rugpulling high-buyers and taking profits where profit is to be taken.

It literally doesn't matter what Powell will say because the market wanted to go up last month so it did and now the market wants to go down so it will.

"Convert to Christianity and we'll give you $1000"
seeing this, they looked at each other, slightly in disbelief. Saul said, "Wait here. I'm going inside."
Abe was flabbergasted. But about ten minutes later, Saul popped out the doors and trotted back down the steps to his friend, looking peaceful, not at all upset.
Abe, still slightly in disbelief, paused a moment then asked, "So did you get the money?"

a few months ago everyone was afraid it would be above 100$, some anon here told me it wouldn't because saudis arent dumb and they are buying up assets in economies that would be disrupted by those prices. and it made sense to me, i don´t trust my government why would i trust some camel riding inbred bendoin absolute monarchy?
now i also figure that dumb waste of time, cop28, might be having an effect on it.

I honestly don't think I can actually describe it well, I'll try to focus on it. But you can notice somewhat of a metal / nickel (not even sure if this is a good way to describe it) smell on women. It increases before, maximizes at, and decreases after the menstruation cycle. Though most women have different levels of smell, so you have to smell the woman for a month or two to gauge how it changes to accurately assess the situation.

>>56960143
Young one, keep going. Like I've said my sense of smell is terrible and through hard work I've made tremendous progress. It also benefits me with other aspects of life, when I see a challenge I think of what I've accomplished with sniffing and it gives me a boost.

Uh, around about 7 years give or take. The first three years were a bit of a disaster until I refined my strategy and stopped letting stuff like my personal opinion on the direction of the price action interfere. I trade leveraged spy and nasdaq just because those charts are fairly predictable and obviously liquidity is never a problem and still wouldn't be if my port were 1000 times the size.

My response is that all indicators are mediocre on their own. You have to combine them to get something that produces clean and reliable signals backtested to meet or beat buy and hold returns. It's true if you're not careful or not very smart or TOO SMART and make opinion based decisions you will lose to buy and hold.

Take a bunch of indicators from tradingview's assortment and backtest them to see which suck, which are okay, and which are pretty good. Have a set amount of price movement you always take partial profit at. This profit taking is important as it turns a lot of loser trades in to break even trades. Once you pare down your indicators to around four or five and you can prove they work over the long term in all market conditions you can start using them for your actual trades. Try to avoid the trap of your indicators telling you one thing, you thinking another, digging in your heels on a losing trade and refusing to get out because you're hoping it's just a bit of volatility spike and you will be fine. That's not fine. You will lose stupid large amounts of money. Even if your stuff says go long the day after you have just gone short you damn well cover and go long.
