56955536 No.56955536 [Reply] [Original]

The other day I tried to transfer a couple ETH from my coinbase account to my ledger wallet. After I did the send I noticed that my ETH wasn't in my wallet 20 minutes later even though the transaction on block explorer said it was completed. Its been a couple days now and coinbase still did not send my coins even though they took them out of my account. I have checked the send address over and over and it is correct so I didn't fuck up and send my money to the wrong address. I've tried contacting coinbases support but they are useless and just keep insinuating that I sent my money to an incorrect address even when I gave them proof that I didn't. Is there anything else I can do to get my money back?

how did you even see the tx on a block explorer if it wasn't to your address? if it went to some random address you wouldnt have found it on a block explorer, withdraws all come from generic coinbase addresses, you dont have a dedicated outgoing address it does through. the story doesnt make sense

>> No.56955569

>>56955536
ask them what they think address was and proof them with chain stats that there is no transaction at that period
Also, open lawsuit (it's a company in Cali, so you can do it)

You're full of shit. Link us the transaction hash. If etherscan properly shows your recipient address on the transaction it's impossible for coinbase to 'steal' it.

I had something similar happen with me once when I used bitpay and the send failed. Thier exchange does some weird shit with proprietary addresses and internal wallets, the transaction off the exchange is too slow and it times out or some shit. If you keep probing and getting all transaction info they should be able to reverse the transaction as long as it's still in a coinbase wallet. Keep calling. eventually you'll get someone on CS who isn't totally useless.

You realize that by the transaction being confirmed on eth blockchain it proves they did in fact send you tokens right? This wallet you presumably control has a balance, you have the coins. It's probably just your ledger being a shithead.
