Another day. Another day of green rolling down as I do "Nothing" for 8hrs. PARRA may be sold soon. Redstone is supposedly being offered a fuck huge sack of green for giving up Paramount to Skydance and other backer. Which hey she owns it so if she decides to sell nothing the board of PARRA or shareholders could do about it. But then again why would anyone be against it? It's a tricky question. If you invest in a roth, you're paying taxes on the money that goes in at peak marginal rates for that tax year. You really have to decide if those rates will perhaps be lower at some future point.
Previously, I would generally suggest Roth on the basis that tax rates may rise, your income may improve, its a one time tax payment that provides security. Recently, however, I'm leaning towards trad.

The beauty of a trad IRA is that it's more like owning a free option on taxes. If you have a year where you're unemployed, roll that shit over. If you live in a high income tax state, maybe you move to texas/florida someday - roll that shit over then. Instant 5-7% savings or so as long as you roll over proportionally to stay within your same tax bracket.
If you retire in 30 years, maybe AI is running the world and there is no taxes at all. Maybe money no longer matters. Who knows?
Hard to see a world where government policy actively fucks over retirees though, so odds favor trad.

That's a totally separate matter and has fuckall to do with the recommendation to reschedule from the department of health and human services.
The reason why your weed stocks are down is because you bought them at the very top.
They were pulling +10% days for a while there already and you got in late.
I sold out of weed on Friday because I didn't think it had legs to go much more.
As for the actual rescheduling, it'll probably happen next year as they can make rescheduling a campaign promise, which was pretty much expected because it's a massive subject to benefit the dems.
It was only a remote possibility that it was going to happen during this year, but people bought the hype anyways.

The AI craze is the Internet bubble of the 2000s.
Like the Internet it will change the world forever, maybe in ways even greater than the internet itself.
But like the 2000 bubble, the gains of AI won't be realized until many, many years later. I don't know about the rest of the market, but the AI rally for tech is not sustainable.

In psyop terms the past couple weeks have been bizarre. A total about-face from the krauts and a bunch of G7 types pledged to triple their nuclear capacity by 2050.

The underlying thesis doesn't even need that shit though. Simply that complacent buyers didn't lock in long term supply, so they're being pushed into an increasingly thin spot market.

Imagine half the NAT GAS plants in the US locked in contracts but production steadily dropped from 3mcf to 1mcf. How much would the remaining half pay for NAT GAS to keep from shutting down?

Oh my god you're so funny, like, how did you ever come up with a joke like that? Did you go to comedy school or something? Like for real, you should go do comedy for a living: sell your house and all your belongings and buy a plane ticket to New York because trust me you're gonna strike it rich, I mean, how many people could ever make such a funny joke? The depth, the sensitivity, it's just the perfect joke. Like for real it's so funny I am going to die, how did you do it? It's impossible for a human to make such a funny joke, like really impossible, so you must not be human. You're a robot aren't you? A robot programmed solely to make the best jokes ever. Who cares? Really you should do this for a living, since you're so funny. What are you doing right now with your time? Are you studying? Working? Or are you already doing comedy full time? Because you really should. You're robbing the world of all your potential by not dedicating your every breath to making such funny jokes that make people laugh so much and so hard. Look around you, the responses are scarce because people are LITERALLY DYING with laughter, that's how funny you are. You should totally write a movie, it will be the best movie of all times I'm sure, since you made up this funny of a joke. And even if you didn't it's the delivery that counts right? I mean, I almost believed you were Louis CK or some shit since you are so fucking funny. And since you are so fucking funny, what are you doing wasting your time here? Put yourself out there, forget about this place, strike it rich. It's okay. We don't want to hinder your potential. Now go and make the world laugh.

What's important here is the absolute heeming suffered by bonds thanks to 2021-2023, where we saw massive government spending, inflation, and inflation-fighting hikes from the Fed.

If the future holds more massive government spending, inflation, and inflation-fighting hikes from the Fed, you can expect a similar heeming for anyone dumb enough to lend Janet Yellen money.

People build things and sell them. Often these things need to be controlled by computers, often connecting to the internet or other computers is a major part of that functionality. The cheapest way to have this happen is often to build a Linux image for some embedded SoC like an I.MX 8 or whatever for your specific device and application. A lot of people have no idea how to do this but it's pretty easy so the ROI on the time investment is probably the best when it comes to the things you can offer as a freelancer. I used to make a lot of money doing it in college.

Yes. Say you dump 24k into a 401k a year or whatever the max is. Well that amount is not counted as income. So your tax hit is 24k less or whatever you dump into it. The rub; in exchange for this tax free gift you cannot touch that money except for certain things until you hit age 60. If you don't need that money then you get to let it roll on till your 73. Then you must take out so much. This is a must do. You must take so much out or suffer the wraith of the IRS.
