not sure, it's decent (at least it's not your average evm clone) but lacks enough differentiation in an overcrowded industry, trying to push the os of blockchain narrative but i don't get that idea
they recently adopted polkadot sdk as well to pivot to some modular architecture

BTC, ETH and XMR are all working produce.

nah, it's great, and they are always innovating. biz just won't admit it publicly cause they want to load their bags while it's cheap

>> No.56917401

Few people understand that blockchains in general are very simple compared to some of the products that handle the data and offchain side like Chainlink. Chainlink is A LOT more complex than Ethereum or l2s or whatever. Tech wise it's much more advanced.

Don't get me wrong, simple is beautiful. Especially how bitcoin basically solved a bunch of distributed systems problems by adding internet money on top of all of the old shit. That's why scientists seethe about it.

There are other good projects on the data management side of things, but dyor. This is just to put you in the right direction.

Blockchains are so simple they are replaceable, Chainlink absolutely isn't

You can configure a network of oracles and run any computation on that network. You can also connect this network to different blockchains and legacy systems. This is what I'm saying, you claim to be a blockchain researcher, but even you don't seem to get it

>> No.56917556

>You can configure a network of oracles and run any computation on that network
why would you choose chainlink for that when there are more potent and cost efficient alternatives for decentralized computation at a world scale? link is just oracles

>> No.56917593

>>56917556
Sure computation can be cheap. You can run a blockhain on 5 free tier AWS instances and go run your decentralized computation. Overall there is no competition

As for why would you choose chainlink. For security. That's what web3 does better than the existing solution. No one who knows their shit isn't looking to use anything blockchain related because it's cheap

Sure all of these different chains are interesting. There will be much more ranging from from these massive general purpose chains to individual dapp chains. But again, blockchains are very simple. Robust, but simple. It's a secure data structure with a execution environment of your flavor. There is no absolute better. It's like saying bicycle is the best vehicle. Sometimes it is, but sometimes it's a ship or a toy car. Depends on the usecase
