Just put my life savings into Albertsons stock (ACI). at 22 a share average cost. Kroger is buying them and the deal is expected to close in a couple months at 27.25 a share. Did I do good? Am I an investor now?

If it’s 22 a share it means it is pricing in your deal as well as the probability that it will not happen . You are not an investor, you did a bet, nothing more than that
